Wet n Wild Trio - Cool as a Cucumber

Hello again readers~

Happy Monday everyone! It's safe to say, that Monday isn't my roughest day (Sunday is), but it's still pretty hard, since it starts off the school week officially... Today I get to go to a meeting and I have a critique, so I'm making a quick post to distract myself a little. :)

Wet n Wild - Cool as a Cucumber

I wasn't in love with this trio as I was expecting. I love the colours together, but it fell flat to me. The light green isn't very pigmented, and I had to pack on colour to get this swatch. It's chalky, and just fades when i blend it out. Not really anything to write home about. The violet also fell flat. It wasn't pigmented, and took a bit of work to get it as dark as I was expecting it originally. The real winner here is the dark green, but it's not enough to really redeem this one.

I wouldn't recommend this particular palette, unless you are in love with the colours and don't mind having to work for colour payoff. There are other palettes that are better, and other brands have similar colours that are better worth your money.

Wet n Wild Fergie Take on the Day Primer

Hello again readers!
A quick review since I had a really good Friday night.

Take on the Day Primer:

With this primer, it comes in a sleek black tube, and each tube contains .34 oz of product. I was a little scared at first, because when I first squeezed it out, the product looked like milky water! Not too much to worry about, a quick tap against your palm and it re-mixes the product up.

Since it's a squeeze tube, it's more hygienic, keeping the product from getting too much bacteria in it, compared to using a doe-foot applicator.

Applying this primer is like a dream. Since the formula is so wet, it's easy to quickly apply the product on without the product tugging on the eyelids or applying streaky. And like other primers, a little goes a long way.

After applying, I apply my eyeshadows and the best part? This primer makes them last for my entire day! It's really convenient, and easy to get too.

To make it better, sometimes when I use this primer, it takes a while to take everything off. It's a bit like glue, and my Neutrogena makeup removing wipes aren't enough to fully remove it all, I need my 'heavy duty' stuff.

Each tube retails at $5, and is readily available too.

Pros:
-Inexpensive
-Applies well
-Keeps shadows lasting all day
-Enhances look of your eyeshadows
-Easy to find

Cons:
-Sometimes needs to be tapped to re-mix primer
-Can feel greasy at first
-Sometimes it makes removing eyeshadows a bit difficult, so use a good makeup remover

Overall: 5/5
I love this primer, and I'm already considering buying the shimmer version too! It's inexpensive and really pulls its weight too. I absolutely recommend this product.

ELF Disney Villains Palette - Maleficent

Hello again readers!

E.L.F. launched this years collection of the Disney Villains palettes. I picked up two; Ursula and Maleficent.

Maleficent

Maleficent is my favourite Disney Villain of all time, and I missed out on her palette last year, so I was not going to let it go this year!

Each pallete comes with a mascara, an eyeliner pencil, a liquid eyeliner, a palette, an eyeshadow brush, a primer and a lipgloss.

This primer doesn't lean pink like the Urusla's, but it is a little warmer for sure.

The mascara isn't anything to write home about. It adds color. It's nice for me if I don't really want to do anything and just want color, but if you have darker lashes this won't do anything for you.

The lipgloss, Maleficent, is a darkened berry red. It was sheer, but looked good on the lips. Like fruit stains. I really liked it, and it was dark enough that I loved it, and sheer enough that everyone would like it. :)

The liquid eyeliner is basic black. Opaque, and I didn't have any problems with it.

The pencil liner falls flat, and isn't something that I feel was worth it. It wasn't pigmented enough for me, and it drags against the skin.

Top Row: Flora, Fauna, Spell
Bottom Row: Deep Sleep, Thorns, Raven Black

Flora: A bright yellow champagne shimmer. Opaque.
Fauna: Gunmetal shimmer. Opaque.
Spell: Emerald Green shimmer. Opaque.
Deep Sleep: Silver shimmer. Opaque.
Thorns: Brown shimmer. Opaque.
Raven Black. Matte Black. Needs build-up.

The only one that I wasn't wowed by, was Raven Black. It needed to really be built-up to look opaque. The rest I /loved/.

There are four palettes in total: Urusla, Cruella, Evil Queen, and Maleficent, and they retail for $9.99 a piece. Are they worth it? I think so, especially if you like the villain. :)

ELF Disney Villains Palette - Ursula

Hello again readers!

E.L.F. launched this years collection of the Disney Villains palettes. I picked up two; Ursula and Maleficent.

Ursula

Each pallete comes with a mascara, an eyeliner pencil, a liquid eyeliner, a palette, an eyeshadow brush, a primer and a lipgloss.

The primer in this palette comes out a little pink, which isn't a downside to application, just noticed it was different than the original primer that I have.

The mascara isn't anything to write home about. It adds color. It's nice for me if I don't really want to do anything and just want color, but if you have darker lashes this won't do anything for you.

The lipgloss is called Ursula,  and I was  really impressed! It's brighter than it shows in the swatch, however.
Midnight is the liquid liner, and I almost had a heart attack when I swatched it. A DARK NAVY BLUE! I love navy eyeliners, and I don't have nearly enough in my collection (only one :( ). It was opaque, and I didn't have any problems with it at all.

It's opaque, and feels good on the lips. It's not too sticky, and lasts for longer than I thought it would. Over an hour at least, even with drinking from a straw!

The pencil liner falls flat, and isn't something that I feel was worth it. It wasn't pigmented enough for me, and it drags against the skin.

Top row: Coral, Sea Witch, Shell
Bottom Row: Kiss The Girl, Triton, Bewitched

Coral: a nice champagne shimmer. Opaque.
Sea Witch: A soft rose-pink matte.. Sheer, and needs build-up.
Shell: A bright teal with shimmer. Opaque
Kiss the Girl: A coppery brown with shimmer. Opaque.
Triton: A lavender purple matte. Needs build-up.
Bewitched: A navy blue matte. Needs build-up.

I was a little bummed, I had high hopes, and the matte shades fell a little flat. You can still work with them, but they need to built-up for full opacity.

There are four palettes in total: Urusla, Cruella, Evil Queen, and Maleficent, and they retail for $9.99 a piece. Are they worth it? I think so, especially if you like the villain. :)

Essence Gel Eyeliner - Miami's Ink

Hello again readers!

Quick swatch here! Essence Gel Eyeliner.

I had to re-pat it down, because I got swatch-crazy as soon as I got it and forgot to take photos first...

Already so in love with it! The eyeliner is pigmented, creamy, and I had no problems with it at all!

The best part about it, is I can use it as a base for shadows too.

This gel eyeliner hits all of the marks, even in lasting power. I notice some fading towards the end of my day, but the rest looks just as good as when I put it on! Call me impressed.

Sinful Colors Leather Luxe - Whipped, Leather Loose, Cool Leather, and Get It On

Hello again readers!

Until my nails grow out (for me to cut them down again, right now they're claws..), I'm doing my swatches on the nail wheel and photographing them that way... It'll be like this for the next couple of weeks, so bear with me!

Sinful Colors launched an all matte collection called Leather Luxe. In the collection, it had a total of  7 new polishes! Whipped, Leather Loose, Cool Leather, Get It On, Laced Up (orange), Strapped (Dusty Green), and My Turn (Grey). It also had bottles of the top coat to go along with it.

Out of the seven, I picked up four.

Whipped is a matte black creme. I /loved/ this. I love black polishes, and I always have a bunch in my collection, but this is the first matte black I own! It was opaque with two coats, dried very quickly, and the formula was amazing! Absolutely a must-have for me.

Leather Loose is a dark, chocolate brown matte polish with yellow/orange/copper glitter. Absolutely gorgeous, and if you get any of the polishes, I suggest this one! It's the only one in the collection with shimmer too, so it's a double win. It looks good matte, and with top coat. This one was a little thicker than the others, but it's not hard to work with at all.

Cool Leather is a nice, nautical matte blue creme. The formula was good, and it was opaque with 2 coats.

Get It On is a matte berry creme. Oh, I loved this shade! The formula was great, and it was opaque in two coats.

Do you have any of the polishes from this collection?

Sephora Outrageous Prisma Chrome Eyeshadow Single in Outrageous Metallic Purple

Hello again readers!

I'm going to try to go through all of my 'posts' on my computer, and start updating regularly. I'll update on Fridays for sure, since it's my only day off from School. Maybe I'll add a few more posts sprinkled here and there, but I need to focus on at least one a week, or I'll lose myself!

Today I'll be showing you one of the Sephora Outrageous Prisma Chrome (OPC) Eyeshadow's in Outrageous Metallic Purple (OMP).

OMP is one of the many eyeshadow shades that you can wear by itself. It catches the light beautifully, and when you blend it in your crease it adds a great effect that makes it look like you went all out!

OMP is a taupy toned violet shimmer with glitter in it. It's smooth, pigmented, and applies like a dream!

They retail at 16 dollars, but I think they're being phased out, since I got mine on clearance for 7 dollars.

Busy as a Bee at the Japanese Festival

Hello again readers!

I've been even busier  lately. The first round of projects are due (the first set today, oh dear!) and I've been busting my butt making sure they're up to my standards. Though, over the weekend, I set aside time to play too.

I went to see 'The World's End', which is the last of the Cornetto Trilogy. It was wonderful! I didn't like the ending much, but I enjoyed the rest of the movie.

On Sunday, I went with my friends Michaela and Ani to the Japanese Festival. This year, Ani bought me a yukata and an obi when she was in Japan, so we all wore one for the festivities.

We got many compliments, and we even got our pictures taken by strangers who thought we all looked so cute.

I didn't buy anything this year (except for some AMAZING lemonade!), but I was super tempted to buy an eevee plush... it was really expensive, so I overlooked it, but it was so cute!

It was very hot, but we dealt with it (I got blisters TAT) and afterwards went back to my house for the Labor Day party and some Teen Wolf.

I'm not looking forward to the work, but I'm looking forward to the new experiences I will have.

Have you been busy lately? What do you do for fun?
