OOTD

Hello again readers!

I think I'm starting to get the whole 'fashionable' thing. Which is really relative to each individual person, but at least now I'm getting compliments. It's kind of nice, really.

Working with a lot of really fashionable people is always a little harsh, since they always look so good, and I usually look like I rolled right out of bed, even with effort!

It just takes the right kind of items.

Jumper: Rue 21
Skirt: KMart
Tights: Walmart
Shoes: Payless

It looks a bit like i'm wearing a dress, but it's really just a neon yellow jumper over a cami and a skirt. I really like how this looks, and I'm really pleased I managed to find a good combination to use the neon jumper!

Also I tried on the Coach earrings I got from my boss, and I really like them. They were given out during Fashion Week (not sure if it was STL or not, but I'm assuming so). They're not super fancy, guaranteed sterling silver and cubic zirconium, but they look fantastic.

OOTD

Hello again readers!

I thought I'd post an outfit I wore a while back. I've been really... underwhelming when it comes to my fashion choices. I make good makeup choices, but my fashion usually consists of jeans, a t-shirt, and some kind of canvas shoe... Not really something I'd call fashionable, and it is really boring and repetitive.

This was a while ago, but I do remember it was on a Friday. I wanted to wear something really comfortable since I only had the one class, and I wanted to be able to just kick my shoes off and laze around in bed after I got back.

I wore my favorite Hale hoodie (go Derek!) that I bought online, a pair of yoga capris I bought from Rue 21, and my Zoo York canvas shoes. I really liked how simple the look was, and I still felt really cute.

My hair was also a complete wreck, so I wore my cyan wig as well. I finally got around to cutting the fringe so it's not in my eyes, but now it sort of looks a bit like Coconut Head... luckily I can change the look by brushing the hair around a bit to fall differently. My next step is to add in some extra layers.

That same day I had to go drop my car off at the shop, and dad made me take my wig off. I'm sure if my hair was longer, I wouldn't mind crazy colored eyebrows, but since my hair is so short, they're incredibly noticeable. I looked rather silly, but since I was going to put my wig right back on it wasn't worth it to remove them.

I need to start drawing them on like this again, they've gotten a little crazy.

Valentines' Day

Hello again readers!

This is late, but better late than never! Valentines' Day has come and gone, and once again I was all-on-my-own-y. It was actually really wonderful this year, however.

The best part? I didn't even leave my house! I didn't have a date, or plans, so instead I just dressed up to have some me-time.

Red-themed makeup for maximum impact, and it was really a great thing that my eyebrows actually ended up looking great! Though, I noticed now my one eye wasn't blended properly. Oops!

And my outfit was as on point as my eyebrows.

Blazer: Rue 21
Warm Bodies Shirt: Hot Topic
Necklace: Forever 21
Choker: DIY
Jeans: Rue 21
Shoes: Charlotte Russe

Got to wear my new shoes! I'm still breaking them in, and I may need to buy some insoles for them, but they are so gorgeous I wish I could wear them all of the time.

Mum also bought me a new blazer for V-Day, and my parents got me a really wonderful card too. :') I was really happy about it.

As for what I really did, I had myself a truly romantic movie marathon with Warm Bodies and My Bloody Valentine. Nothing screams romance like zombies and serial killers.

Thanks for reading, and I hope you had a lovely V-Day yourselves!

Merry Chrimbo!

Hello again readers!

Ah, another Christmas came, and went. So much joy, new memories, a lot of excitement (and a lot of people squished into tiny areas!) has happened this year too!

Every year, my dad makes cookies! And a /lot/ of them; chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, brownie, gooey butter, amish sugar cookies, and sugar cookies. He bakes for days, and they're always yummy! And mum makes spritz cookies and wreaths!

My favourites are brownie, gooey butter, and spritz. I love them!

For Christmas Eve, I like being casual. This year, I bought a new jumper! It has a fox on it, and I couldn't resist since foxes are my favourite animal. I put it over my Converse plaid shirt and wore skinny jeans.

I use so many products to make my look too!

-Monistat for primer
-Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation - Ivory
-NYX HD Concealer in 01
-Maybelline Falsies Waterproof Mascara
-NYX Matte Finish Setting Spray
-Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eyeliner
-ELF High Definition Translucent Powder
-NYX Butter Gloss in Maple Blondie
-Milani Lipstick in Nude Creme
-NYC Bronzer in Sunny
-ELF Beauty Book - Night Edition
-Wet n Wild Eyeshadow Single in Brule
-Urban Decay Primer Potion
-NYX Retractable Lip Liner in Nude
-Rimmel Kohl Eyeliner in Nude
-ELF Eyebrow Kit in Medium
-Aziza Blush duo

My grandparents, and some of my other family came over for Christmas Eve. We had good food, and had a lot of fun! We exchanged presents, and they left shortly afterwards.

Then, Sarah and I got to open the gifts from my parents!

I got the cutest shooter glass set, with monochromatic skulls! Also, two pairs of skull earrings, and a new grey scarf! Mum and Dad know me so well...

I also got a bunch of boots! The top pair mum  picked up when she was out one day, and the last three I got to pick out from Charlotte Russe. I already broke in one pair, time to break in the rest!

They also got me a few movies, and a few season DVD's (SPN, Teen Wolf, and Firefly!), a tripod, and a new XBox! :D I love it already...

Then Sarah and I exchanged presents:

I GOT PACIFIC RIM! THIS IS NOT A DRILL!
I was really happy with what she got me, Pacific Rim is one of my favourite movies of all time, and the Internship is such a cute movie (plus, it has Dylan O'Brien in it, double score!). She also got me this really sweet perfume from Rue21. I was eyeing it myself, but wasn't sure I was going to buy it, but she picked it up for me! How sweet is she?

Then it was Christmas day. It's always the most exhausting day of the holidays, because we have to travel quite a bit to see everyone, and then socializing... It's a lot, but it's nice.

Sarah and I are always opposites. I'm usually in black, and she's the princess of light! It's really hilarious how different we are, but similar in some ways too...

My look was dark, but simple!

-Monistat Primer
-Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation
-Maybelline FitMe Concealer
-Essence Gel Eyeliner
-Urban Decay Primer Potion
-Rimmel Kohl Eye Pencil in Nude
-Wet n Wild Eyeshadow Singles in Brule and Panther
-ELF High Defintion Translucent Powder
-NYC Bronzer in Sunny
-ELF Eyeshadow Palette
-ELF Blush in Coral
-ELF Brow Kit in Medium

This Christmas was really fun, how was yours?

Busy as a Bee at the Japanese Festival

Hello again readers!

I've been even busier  lately. The first round of projects are due (the first set today, oh dear!) and I've been busting my butt making sure they're up to my standards. Though, over the weekend, I set aside time to play too.

I went to see 'The World's End', which is the last of the Cornetto Trilogy. It was wonderful! I didn't like the ending much, but I enjoyed the rest of the movie.

On Sunday, I went with my friends Michaela and Ani to the Japanese Festival. This year, Ani bought me a yukata and an obi when she was in Japan, so we all wore one for the festivities.

We got many compliments, and we even got our pictures taken by strangers who thought we all looked so cute.

I didn't buy anything this year (except for some AMAZING lemonade!), but I was super tempted to buy an eevee plush... it was really expensive, so I overlooked it, but it was so cute!

It was very hot, but we dealt with it (I got blisters TAT) and afterwards went back to my house for the Labor Day party and some Teen Wolf.

I'm not looking forward to the work, but I'm looking forward to the new experiences I will have.

Have you been busy lately? What do you do for fun?

Thanks for reading!

Updates

Hello again readers~

It's that time again when I clean out the photos from my phone, and purge them here.

When my cousins came into town, we all went to a Shlafly's for dinner. It was interesting, nothing I'd want to do very much, but it was cool to try a bunch of different beers and ales with my family. Their Summer Ale was really good, sort of citrus taste to it, and I kept startling because it reminded me of sparkling grape juice.

On the 4th, mum took me shopping at Rue 21 since we had a coupon for 40 dollars off an 80 dollar purchase, and I picked up a pair of these shoes. They are a bit hideous, but holographic anything instantly takes a hold of my heart. I adore them really, even when my sister threatens to chuck them in the bin. They're glorious.

I went to do errands last week, and I just gradually lost pieces. It was too hot for leather, too hot to wear my hair down, too hot for the heels I was wearing. I felt really confident to begin with, and then by the end of the day I was just comfortable. I did get the damaged ends cut off of my hair though.

Jeans: Rue 21

Last bit is Thursday I felt pretty confident with myself. The tube-top kept riding up, but I felt fantastic! Channeling my inner-Stiles.

Need to remember the eyelashes

Hello again readers~

Nothing much else to talk about, except lately I've been experimenting with outfits and makeup more often. I'm getting better, and I still have so much more room for improvement.

I'm oddly happy with my outfit, though I wish i would have tucked in the black tank. I'm  not too keen on having a large black band between my sweater and my jeans.

Sweater: Rue 21
Tank: Old Navy
Jeans: Rue 21
Shoes: Cato

Wah and I'm getting better at my makeup too! Though, a huge flaw I have, is I need to remember to wear false eyelashes more! It makes a huge difference in my look, especially since I like having a thick line of eye liner. It erases the lashes I do have... Shame.

I do struggle with blending, it's easier to do all one colour without the crease, but practice makes perfect of course.

What do you struggle with the most?

Out and About

Hello again readers~

I'm pretty proud of myself, usually I'm quite the hermit but I've recently branched out to try to be social. It's a little hard, but this will  help me in the long run. It's not healthy to avoid people. :)

Anyway, Monday I got all dressed up, with no place to be. I went on campus to take some photos and develop my film for my final Photography assignment, and I did some work in my Digital Imaging class too. I was going to leave early, but I ended up texting my friend Catherine on whim to meet up for lunch, and we met up.

We went to Easy's, which is this wonderful Chinese buffet that's really cheap near campus, and then went on a quest for a Tropical Sno stand that may or may not actually exist. It was a failure, so we went to Peachy's for frozen yogurt.

It was really delicious, and also really cheap too!

Top: Rue 21
Necklace: Forever 21

I wore red skinny jeans from Rue 21 and a pair of my thrifted boots, but I wasn't up for a full body picture that day.

It was also quite a lot of makeup too, and I haven't done that in a while. It felt amazing to do something so wild again. The red really made my eyes pop!

Eye:
Hot Topic Red Blush
Wet n Wild Eyeshadow Single - Panther
Wet n Wild Cream Eyeliner - Black
Jordana Best Lash Extreme Mascara - Black
E.L.F. Eyebrow Duo

Face:
Revlon Liquid Foundation
E.L.F. Coral Blush

Lip:
Wet n Wild - Cherry Bomb

To wrap up, I had to file down my nails... I've been unkind to them and a couple of them broke, so I wanted to get them all healthy again. Boo. Oh well, they'll be back to normal in a couple of weeks.

OOTD and Updates

Hello again readers~

What a wild past couple of weeks, huh? The weather was really cold, and now it has gotten hot, and most likely cool tomorrow. It just can't make up it's mind. :)

Just a few updates, along with a FOTD and OOTD thrown in here, hope you stick around.

My dad got me a new desktop, which I am so pleased with!  Meet  Uriel 2.0. He's fast, he's quiet, and he's perfect for school work, communicating, gaming, and most importantly, blogging. I couldn't have asked for a better one, and he fits in perfectly.

I actually had a nice opportunity to work for the Election board as a Tech, so why not go all out? I looked decently professional, though it was so cold! I had to wear my jacket for most of the day.

It was a long day, a lot of work, but it was worth it, and I got to spend a lot of time with my mother, which doesn't happen too often.

I spent a good portion of three days going through all of the sketchbooks, notebooks, folders, and scraps littering around my desk. Piling them on the top really put it in perspective, and I found written reviews from a long time ago as well. Shame.

Winding down now. I hopped off to Sally Beauty Supply a few days ago, and they had their pastel lip glosses on clearance. I picked up a mint, and a lilac and wasn't hoping for much, but was pleasantly surprised.

Mint was what I expected, a lot of patches and a bit sheer.

The lilac however, exceeded my expectations. It's not the best colour for my skin tone (at all. it makes me look like a corpse unfortunately), but it was so different I fell in love anyway. I went back and bought the rest they had (2) and will hoard them with my life. They'll probably be gone by the end of the year.

Do you like any crazy lip colours?

Last week, my friend Angelica gave me two huge bag of clothes to choose from. Unfortunately, my torso is longer than hers, and there is no hope of me fitting in a size zero, so I only was able to get 6 shirts, an awesome pair of socks, a dress, and a leather jacket out of it. I also got a skirt and pants to use as scrap material, and I'm going to do something awesome with them in time. :)

My makeup lately has been dark. For a while I only went out with eyebrow gel and powder, foundation, and mascara, but recently I've been heavy on the eyes. Smoky and piercing. No eyeliner though, which I regretted, but only slightly. It's easier to remove this way.

Jacket: Gift
Dress: Thrifted
Necklace: Forever 21

The jacket fits me like a glove, almost perfect except for the chest area. Since I don't zip it up all the way, it looks fantastic anyway. Wore it over a long-dress with flats for today, and it worked out better than expected.

Whew! That was longer than expected, still hanging on?

OOTD, FOTD, and a present!

Hello again readers~

Whew! Finally Friday! It's been a long week, but it's down and over with, and I'm ready for the weekend.

FOTD:

I actually went ahead and did a bunch more to my makeup routine, instead of the 'natural' look I've been doing. Dark, black lids, strong line, coral cheeks, and red lip. Really put my look to the next level.

OOTD:

Just wanted a reason to wear my heels, and went all-out.

Jacket: Rue 21
Dress: Rue 21
Necklace: Forever 21
Tights: VF Outlet
Heels: Payless

Thanks for reading, and have a great weekend~
