Forever 21 - Perfect Pigments, Eyeshadow, and Rings

Hello again readers~

I was able to go shopping with my sister when she came back from Europe! I really missed her, and I seem to do so much better when I'm with other as opposed to myself... I only got cologne and another shirt from Rue 21, but other than that I bought everything from Forever 21.

I bought a couple of really amazing rings, a palette, and a single eyeshadow.

I'm a complete sucker for foxes... and the other ring is perfect for subtle defense.

I bought this light brown eyeshadow assuming it was matte, because matte eyeshadows are my favourite.

Unfortunately, it was a satin finish with shimmer. I'm not too terribly disappointed, since I like the colour, I just wish it was matte.

The last thing I bought, was this 6 Perfect Pigments palette. I was sucked in with the black/turquoise duo that just looked so appealing, and the violets.

I wasn't expecting too much, but I was pleased with quite a few of these.

Each pan gives two colours in one, that you can chose from the two, or combine them for a whole new colour. 

All were shimmery/satiny, and some were more pigmented with others. The particular shades I liked best, I put an asterisk by. :)

Shopping with Sarah

Hello again readers~

I went out to lunch with my sister, my grandmother, and my grandmothers friends. It was really nice to spend some time with them. :) Afterwards, we went to Target and then to the mall for some mega quick shopping. 

Forever 21 was a bit of a bust, I don't buy much there anyway, but there was only one small necklace I bought and then these that were on clearance. They're usually 2 dollars each, but they were only 1 dollar! Beige and Dark Green.

I just wanted to mention, that the packaging for Beige is TERRIBLE. It looks really gaudy and definitely like extremely cheap plastic. The gold just picks up fingerprints and looks awful... Bad packaging choice there...

Beige is a good colour that isn't too overwhelming at all. I got it for an all-over-lid colour and am glad it will work for me. Dark Green isn't so much green as a dark teal really. Both have shimmer, but dark green strikes my fancy quite a bit.

Last bit was at Rue 21, I got a few pieces (among which is a fantastic new pair of skinny jeans, that I got for 6 dollars because someone was a jerk and ripped the original tag off of them.  >: ( )

They had these bins in the back FULL of polishes they were getting rid of to make room for new inventory. They were only a dollar each! I didn't notice this originally, but some of them were actually Color Club polishes as well. 

Though, NONE OF THEM WERE LABELED! They have labels on the back for the price, with numbers for their colour, but not a name. The names I'm using for these are the ones I got off the receipt... 

Left to Right: Black, Navy Blue, Dark Blue, Turquoise, Jazz Hands, Portfolio.

All of them applied in two coats.

Black: Standard black cream. Dries in a satin finish. Nothing to rave about.

Navy Blue: FINALLY. A lot of navy blues I find have shimmer or glitter. This is a navy blue jelly. Love it!

Dark Blue: A blue creme.

Turquoise: A bright turquoise creme that was the best behaved of all of the polishes. Applied like a dream, and was almost a one-coater.

Jazz Hands: A berry-wine creme polish.

Portfolio: A violet-green duo-chrome polish. This applied well, but shows off brushstrokes.

I was a little impressed, and a little underwhelmed at the same time! Some of the swatches are gorgeous, and some are just so-so.

Love and Beauty Nail Colour Swatches

Hello again readers~

I finally was able to get the photos off of my camera, onto the computer and wrote up my review for the Love and Beauty nail polishes I bought a few weeks prior.

I bought the box on sale from Forever 21, knocked down from 9-10 dollars, to 5. The box came with seven colours: 5 shimmers, 1 jelly, and 1 glitter.

None of them had names, so I just listed them by the order they were in the box.

1.) Dark Gunmetal - A gunmetal grey with silver shimmer. Opaque with 2 coats. This was hard to make even, since brush strokes were still visible, but it covers well and the strokes are barely noticeable.

 

2.) Dark Violet - A violet/grey-black base with violet glitter and shimmer. This polish seemed incredibly sheer, but turned opaque with 2 coats. The shimmer is brilliant if you're in direct light, but lacks when it's in the shade.

3.) Plum - A dark vampy plum (the reason I wanted the set in the first place). I absolutely love it. Opaque with 2 coats, and dries slightly matte. It resembles a rubber finish, but I prefer it with a top coat.

4.) Pink Glitter - Just a bright pink glitter. Swatch is with 3 coats. There is a way to get it opaque, but that would require numerous coats and it's not worth it. Looks wonderful over black polish.

5.) Blue - Sheer blue base, with blue and green shimmer. Very sheer, and needs building up. Opaque in 3 coats.

6.) Green - Grey/Green base, with green and silver shimmer. VERY Sheer. This was with 3 coats, and still doesn't seem dark enough.

I had high hopes for this, since in the bottle it looked so dark, and on the nail, the silver shimmer makes it much brighter.

7.) 'Light' -  This is exactly like the Distict 2 - Stone Cold, China Glaze polish, though slightly different (it doesn't dry matte, and is slightly lighter!). It covers in one coat, but I applied two to be safe. 

I think if you're looking for an alternative to Stone Cold, this would be wonderful, but since I have it, I find it a hassel since if I wanted a matte look, I'd need to add extra polish.

Overall:

I only kept two; Plum and Dark Violet. The others I gave to my sister. The polishes suit my palette more, but I already have a gunmetal and a 'Stone Cold' polish, I don't need numerous ones.  The others just didn't suit me at all, or I had similar polishes.

They are rather nice polishes, and if you get it on sale the price is exceptionally great.

Forever 21:

I just found these three shadows, because they looked like colors I used to have in palettes, that I wasn't able to find anywhere else.

I got Dark Olive, Dark Blue, and Black/Silver.

Black/Silver: A black with a silver and slight blue shimmer in it.

Dark Blue: Dark blue with blue shimmer and slight silver shimmer.

Dark Olive: This was surprisingly the favorite out of the three. A dark olive green with gold shimmer. Just stunning.

I really like them when applied wet, they are really not that great if applied dry at all. Great for night looks.

Rue 21:

Two for  one tube skits~

1/2 sleeve top, two lace shirts, and a bustier top.
