Hello again readers!

It's another Independence Day! The one day a year where you can blow up fireworks and not get yelled at for it! I'm really excited, we're having a family shin-dig and it will be a BLAST (almost as big of a blast as the fireworks ;) )

I went ahead and did a full face of makeup, and spiked up my hair really nice. I am loving how short my hair is! I donated it in June, and I'm still so happy with it. It's perfect for this summer heat, plus there will be a kid with new hair!

For this look I used:

Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation - Ivory
NYX HD Concealer - 02
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer - 10
Rimmel London Stay Matte - Translucent
ELF Studio Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder - St. Lucia
ELF Eyebrow Kit - Medium
Urban Decay Primer Potion
Jordana 12 HR Made to Last Eyeshadow Pencil - Eternal White
Wet n Wild Trio - Three's a Party
NYX Nude Matte Shadow - In the Buff
NYX Studio Liquid Eyeliner  - Electric Blue
ELF Wet Gloss Lash and Brow Mascara
Maybelline Great Lash - Royal Blue
L'Oreal ColorRiche LaLaque - Laquq-onic

Then I did my nails too! I was really kind of trying a pattern, and then I just ended up doing whatever... It turned out okay though, fortunately for me.

Products I used:

Sinful Colors - Ruby Ruby, Snow Me White, Endless Blue
China Glaze - Crackle - Lightning Bolt
Finger Paints - Red,White, and Hue
Sephora X - Wham!

Thanks for reading, and have a wonderful 4th of July! Please be safe, and be careful with the fireworks!

NOTD

Hello again readers~

Just a super quick post for you today.

NOTD:

I used two coats of Orly - Gumdrop, and one coat of NYX - Gilded Glitter

I was excited to try Gilded Glitter, since the swatches I saw of it online were so gorgeous, and I was slightly disappointed. It's not the glitter payoff (Which is nice, not too little, and not too much!) but the glitter has a yellow-tint to its base, that shows up on lighter colours like Gumdrop.

It made some gross streaks to the manicure, and it just made the anticipation fizzle. It looks much better over darker colours, but I'll be keeping it away from lighter colours.

From afar, you can't notice it so I wasn't too concerned, but knowing it wasn't as well as I hoped bummed me out a bit.

Flakie Heaven - NOTD

Hello again readers~

The lighting was horrid for a few days (either I got home too late, or it was cloudy), so it took longer than it should have for these photos, and I already have edge wear.

It was more of an experiment than anything, and it was a success:

Sally Hansen - Night Fright
Essie - Shrine of the Times
Finger Paints - Flecked and Motley

Combined it's like looking into a rainbow. In certain hand angels, you see yellow and violet colours as well, but I couldn't get them to show with other photos I took.

First Week of School

Hello again Readers~

School started last week on the 14. I was expecting it to be a lot harder to get back into the groove, but I only have classes three days a week, so it makes things a lot easier I suppose. I like them too, and I'm very pleased to be back in a Photography class again.... Though I'm no longer in a class with all of my friends, they stop by when they can (open classroom) and it's refreshing to see their faces, and to see them happy to see me too!

OOTD:

Tank: Old Navy
Blazer: Rue 21
Jeans: Rue 21
Boots: Thifted

NOTD:

I used Sally Hansen - Night Fright, with a coat of Hard Candy - Matte-ly In Love.

After the first day I didn't dress up nearly as nice, though hopefully I can find a spot between comfort and fashionable and settle there.

NOTD

Hello again readers~

Four coats of by Permission to Proceed by Spoiled, and one coat of Black Mesh by China Glaze.

I know the photos look a bit different from how I usually do them, but I was messing with my camera settings for this round. It was really interesting how many effects I could achieve, by just turning a small dial. :)

HALLOWEEN

Hello again readers~

It was that time again, one of my favourite times of the year: Halloween! I love it so much, because you can be creepy, weird, and scary or whatever you choose, and it's accepted for a day~

I was lame, and picked to be a zombie again. Why mess with a good thing? Though this year was different:

The nails on this hand were my favourite...

... but this hand was for grossing my teachers and peers out, because the nail was able to be moved around without falling off:

The materials I used?: False nails, cotton, food colouring, eyeshadow, toilet paper, Elmer's glue, black lip gloss, and clear lip gloss. Looks gross, doesn't it?

Angelica wanted a picture with both of our hands, so of course we did.

And a picture of the both of us! She was so cute, and she was the practice model for some of the face painters there. :)

NOTD

Hello again readers~

Here are my NOTD's from the past few weeks. :)

Finger Paints in Stunning Stilettos with one coat of Shattered by Icing.

I really liked this, though It was odd working with Shattered, and I bent a few of the pieces. It took three top coats to smooth it out, but I still picked at the pieces that poked out, which is why there's a couple of chips in the polish. I'll be doing this again, but maybe not over Stunning Stilettos.

China Glaze in Westside Warrior, with Finger Paints in Flecked, and Motley layered on top. I wasn't so sure that this combination would look good, but I'm glad I did it. Not only did it look great, but Ani and I discovered that in darker lighting, it really looked amazing:

Finally, I tried something new this week. One of my nails chipped off (thumb), and when I went to smooth it out, it ended up looking like a claw on one side. So I just trimmed all of my nails to claws, and applied Wet N Wild in Morbid to them. I think it's a wonderful look, though it hurts a little bit when I make a fist, since they are sharpened points.

NOTD

Hello again readers~

Here is my NOTD looks from the past two weeks. :)

NOTD 1 - Orly 'Androgynie'

I used Orly 'Androgynie' over Wet N Wild Fast Dry in 'Ebony Hates Chris'. Androgynie can be layered to stand on it's own, but the pay-off is much better to put it over a black base.

I absolutely love this polish (have worn it a few other times, but only pictured it now). It's a black base (a bit sheer) with holo glitter, and hexegonal glitter.

The only problem, is that there isn't the metal balls inside to mix the glitter around, so the glitter sits at the bottom of the bottle. I'm working on getting this fixed (ordering a packet of the metal balls so I can fix this, and make my own), but for now it has to be stored upside-down to get glitter.

Previously, I have worn it alone, though with applications it eats up the glitter and dulls it. If you layer it over a black polish, it really stands out, and is just brilliant.

NOTD 2 - Orly 'After Party'

I'm so glad I picked up this polish when I did. 'After Party' is a navy blue base, PACKED with blue, pink, and purple shimmer. It's asolutely GORGEOUS.

I included the shade photo, because the colour of the bottle, is really how it looks on the nail. I just couldn't get it to photograph correctly on my nails, but it's absolutely beautiful.

Woodstock; NOTD, FOTD, and NOTD

Hello again readers~

It has been far too long since I have updated, so now I'm starting with lots of updates! (Three tonight, at least one over the weekend, and two next week!). Just so many things have happened!

Last weekend, was the third annual Woodstock party at my wifey's house! For the occassion, I painted my nails and this time, I took a picture of this shade!

NOTD

 Finger Paints in Expressionist Red

I was very pleased with this color. It applies well, and it only needs to coat to become opaque. I did three just to be on the safe side in these photos.

I tried to be cool, and make an Eye of Sauron cake, with elvish inscriptions of the ring on the sides, and it didn't work out well.

Before we get to that, here's a reallyy cool (creepy to some!) picture of the red dye that makes it look more like muscle than icing. I thought it was awesome..

The cake wasn't all that bad when I originally finished. I did run out of room for the inscriptions on the side, but for a first time I thought it was decent!

That was until the next morning. The inscriptions I DID put on there, melted down, and it broke a bit off ... I tried to 'glue' it back with icing, but it didn't work.

It was still very delicious~

In the spirit of Woodstock, I wanted to dress up for it, but I don't think I did very good at it.

OOTD

Top: Rue 21
Skirt: Belk
Flip Flops: Old Navy

FOTD

Though my makeup did NOT stay in place all day, I thought it was cute before I left the house. :)

There was music, and swimming, and eating, and goofing around, and it was great!

Just me making an awkward face (I can't even remember what I was talking about when I took this...)

The plate which explained why everyone in the basement was laughing for five minutes straight, all over a shoe!

See, my friend David upset me, so I went to kick my flip flop off at him, it caught onto my toes, hit the ceiling, fell back down, bounced off the lid to the macaroni and cheese pot, and then fell on the ping-pong table. It put Alex, David, Devon, and I into a fit of hysterics that Emi and Wifey joined in with when they joined us.

Basically my only picture of my swim suit that I like, and one of the favorite pictures taken.

Somewhere, we all jumped on Omegle to troll around a bit. David, Wifey, Alex, Devon, and Emi.

And Emi made a smiley face on my back with the freckles!

It was a blast! Good food, good friends, good music, good fun! It's just amazing how well it goes. :)
