2016 Declutter and Empties

Hello again readers!

It's that time of year again. The time of year where I went through my entire makeup collection, and just went crazy with purging. If I didn't love it, or use it, it went out the door. If it was old/smelled bad/dried up or was used up, it was purged. It was a long process, and it was exhausting, but I'm so happy with the progress that I made this year. I cut my collection down by a lot, and now I have room to expand with products that I'll actually use.

Blackbird Cosmetics Subtract Sculpting Powder Sample – Empty*:
I love this sculpting powder as a contour. I already bought a full-size of it for my collection.

Shiro Cosmetics Alkehestry Eyeshadow Sample – Depotted*:
I ended up having two of these in sample forms, so I combined them into a little jar. Much easier to use that way.

Notoriously Morbid Necromancy Blush Sample – Empty*:
Another product I really love for contouring. I bought a full-size of this product too, and I love it!

Mario Badescu Healing & Soothing Mask Sample – Empty:
I really hated this mask. It didn't do anything for my skin. It didn't sooth any redness, it didn't help my skin heal, and after using it, it felt like it did the opposite because my skin felt dehydrated. Boo.

Nivea In Shower Body Lotion Sample – Empty*:
I need to get a bottle of this for my shower, because I loved this. I really hate applying lotion to my body, so I rarely (if ever) do so, but this just makes it so ridiculously easy I don't have a reason not to.

China Glaze Fast Forward Top Coat – Empty*:
I'm going to buy another bottle of this eventually, because I'm an impatient person when it comes to my nails. It dries so quickly and I can go back to doing whatever I want to do, and I don't have to worry about my nails smearing all over the place. The downside is that it gums up towards the end of it's life and gets really stringy and gross.

ELF Eyeslash Glue – Old:
This eyelash glue sucks really. I don't even know why I held onto it, because it doesn't keep your lashes on.

DUO Dark-Tone Eyelash Adhesive – Old*:
I need to buy a new bottle of t his, because I really do love it. I always wear eyeliner when I wear false lashes, so having a lash glue that dries down to a black color to blend in with that eyeliner? Holy grail status right there!

ELF High Definition Translucent Powder – Empty*:
I don't ever like being without this product in my collection, it's a recently appointed Holy Grail status product for me.

Wet n Wild Coverall Foundation – Fair – Old:
I might consider buying this foundation again, because I remember always liking it when I wore it, but I have other foundations I have to go through before I consider trying this one again.

Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation – Ivory – Old:
This is another product that's been discontinued, and I really wish it wasn't. It had such beautiful light to medium coverage, and lasted all day on me. Such a shame.

L'Oreal True Match Foundation – Alabaster – Old*:
I want to try this in the Neutral shade, because while I liked this product (I think?), I hated how pink it was on my face!

Maybelline Color Tattoo – Gold Rush, Barely Branded, Inked in Pink, Silver Strike, Pomegranate Punk, and Lavish Lavender – Old:
All old, dried up, and shades that I just never reached for that often. At least not enough to warrant me to repurchase them.

Sephora Cream Eyeshadow and Liner – Blue Night – Just awful:
It was patchy, it took forever to get opaque, and it would transfer like nobody's business. Such a shame because it was such a beautiful blue.

Smashbox Jet Set Waterproof Eyeliner – Teal – Just awful:
I wasn't wild about the color, and the formula, pigmentation, and staying power were just disappointments across the board. No wonder Smashbox discontinued it.

HIP Gel Eyeliner – Teal – Old*:
I love this shade like no other, it's such a unique shade, but it just didn't work for me. It would transfer like crazy, and would smear all over the place on my oily lids. Such a shame, because if it worked better i have no doubts that I would have used all of it.

ULTA Extreme Wear Gel Eyeliner – Dublin – Old*:
I need to buy a new one, because I love the darkened hunter green. Reminds me of my Dublin hoodie, and therefore it reminds me of my second home. Very fitting name.

ELF Eyelid Primer x2 – Old:
These aren't bad for starting off, but I'm past that point. Plus, I got these in makeup kits, so they weren't that special to me.

Milani Infinite Liquid Eyeliner – Forever – Old:
I really like the idea of gold eyeliner, but I just never really reached for it. It ended up getting all gummed up and disappointing me. Shame.

Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eyeliner – Blackest Black – Old:
An eyeliner that I remember loving to death in high school, that revisiting shows me how much I've grown in my makeup game. It just wasn't what I needed in my collection, and it wasn't as special as I remembered. It was pigmented, but hard to make wings, but easy to make just simple lines. It wasn't transfer proof, wasn't waterproof, and wasn't smudge proof, so within a couple of hours it'd be smudged and faded.

ELF Liquid Eyeliner x2 – Midnight – Old*:
These eyeliners are such a good investment. They're about a dollar, super pigmented, and incredibly easy to apply. The only downside is that they're not smudge-proof or waterproof, but even then they still last all day! It's incredible.

Stila High Shine Liquid Vinyl Eyeliner – Royal Blue – Old:
I loved the color so much, but this was such a disappointment. It cracked, it flaked, it dried out my eye area. What a shame.

Hard Candy 1000 Lashes – Black – Old:
I wanted to like this so much, because it made my lashes look so fluffy and full. Of course, the trade off is that I would have little black fibers and flakes raining down my face and into my eyes. Not a fan.

Milani Ultrafine Liquid Eyeliner – Sparkling Turquoise and Prismatic Purple – Old:
Both of these were just so streaky, and they both left stains. I wasn't reaching for them often anyway, and I didn't like these at all. Which, wasn't a surprise, I wasn't a fan of the black eyeliner either.

Hot Topic Blackheart Beauty Smokey Eyelid Primer – Old:
The idea of this product is awesome, but it ended up just... not working out. It has such a beautiful grey shade that would be perfect as a base, but the formula was drier than I was expecting and it was always a streaky base. Blending it out was a nightmare, and it was also a little sticky, but in a bad way. It made shadows stick to it and impossible to blend, but it didn't hold onto shadows to save it's life and left my lids in a creasy mess. Boo.

Hot Topic Blackheart Beauty Eyelid Primer – Old:
I only used this once or twice, because it was awful. Hell, the $1 ELF primer is leagues better than this one. It didn't hold onto shadows at all, it was a hell to blend, and just... overall awful.

NYX Eyebrow Gel - Blonde and Brunette – Old*:
The only reason these went bad, is because I only managed to use up half of each of them. So... technically I used up a full size. I really liked both, but in a twist, I prefer the blonde. The blonde in this formula is actually build-able into a dark tone that I enjoy for my aesthetic, and it can be sheered out for a more traditional blonde look. The brunette was amazing, but I found that if I was heavy-handed that day, I would walk away with perfectly sculpted drag eyebrows, which was much too heavy for everyday wear.

ELF Medium Eyebrow Kit – Old:
This used to be my favorite. Hell, this was the second one I used. I don't enjoy it nearly as much as I used to, becuase it's much too warm for my brows, and I have many other products I reach for far more often.

NYX Micro Brow Pencil – Ash Brown – Empty*:
This is a new Holy Grail product for me. I love how incredibly easy it is to fill in my brows, and they end up looking decently natural. I go through about one every two months or so, which means I go through these fairly quickly, but I can manage to get two for $15, so it ends up being WAY cheaper than the Anastasia version by far.

Revo Sugar Cookie Lip Balm – Old:
I never reached for this, because I was expecting a light, sweet, vanilla flavor and scent. What I got was a vanilla monstrosity that had an edge of mint. I wasn't sure what to expect, and it definitely wasn't that. I hate mint so much, so it ruined this balm for me. The good news is that the Revo balms DO moisturize the lips, so at least there's that.

ELF Lip Color – Maleficent – Old:
I held onto this for so long, just because of the name. It's not a bad gloss, but I'm not a fan of reds.

Profusion BB Balm – Strawberry – Just Awful:
I used this once. Just once. The pigmentation was streaky. The balm did jack diddly. The flavor was definitely NOT strawberry (it was a gross, chemical flavor with a bland aftertaste of an attempt at strawberry). It was just a huge failure.

EOS Vanilla Lip Balm – Old:
This was a lot better than the popular egg version of the EOS balm, this actually gave my lips some moisture. It wasn't amazing, and not worth the money, but it wasn't awful. It ended up being hard to use because the more you use up, the more it moves in the tube ... I prefer just classic Chapstick.

NYX Circle Lipstick – Blush – Old:
Didn't like the color, so I barely used it.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick – Wink for Pink and Primrose – Old:
Wink for Pink was a color I sort of reached for, but just never loved. Primrose started out strong, but I soon discovered that it wasn't very flattering on me, and left me looking unattractive. What a shame.

Wet n Wild Just Peachy Megalast Lipstick – Old*:
I'm getting rid of this because with the new formula of the lipstick it's a much more flattering. This version was a white-based peach, and it just looked awful.

ELF Moisturizing Lipstick – Pink Minx – Old:
I didn't mind the color, but soon found out that I don't really like pink shades. It was a nice warm pink, so it was flattering and wearable, but I prefer nudes.

Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick – Nude Delight, and Let's Get Naked – Old:
I almost used both of these up, because they were nice nude lipsticks. I'm not going to repurchase them, because I hate the perfume scent/taste of Rimmel lipsticks. What a shame, they're pigmented and moisturizing, they just taste bad!

L'Oreal Eva's Nude, and Jennifer's Nude Lipstick – Just Awful:
The pigmentation was sheer, which is good for a neutral lipstick. My biggest issue with these is that they're expensive at about $8 a pop, but they're just ... not great. The formula is a little drying and the scent is god-awful. It smells like old, musty, floral perfume. I'd prefer no scent at all to that. The scent made these completely unwearable for me and just a waste of my money, no matter how beautiful the shades were!

Primark/Penny's Beauty Pink Lip Gloss – Old:
It's a beautiful, non-sticky gloss but the color wasn't for me so I never used it. I should have passed it on early on in its life so that someone else could have given it love instead.

Sally Girl Pastel Purple Lip Gloss – Old:
I went through a phase where I was super into lilac/lavender shades for my lips. I had SO many of these. This was my last tube, and I never got around to using it up. I would have, had it not turned on me. What a shame, but they were like 15 cents when I got around to buying up the last of them so I'm not going to cry about it.

Hourglass Canvas Liquid Lipstick – Old:
Ah, now this was a product I assumed that since it was expensive (this little tube was $10!!) it would be amazing. That's not the case. It dried down to like a satin matte, it transferred, it cracked, and it flaked. It was a nice color, and it suited me, but the formula wasn't anything to write home about, and I've used better, CHEAPER products that don't disappoint me.

-----

I was SO impressed with myself, and this was only the stuff that went right into recycling/the garbage! I got rid of so many other things that I handed off to my friends. There was just so much, that it was almost scary, but it's now such a rewarding experience because all of that stuff was just weighing down that I felt obligated to hold on to, because I bought it.

In the future, all empties posts as well as my favorites will be featured on my Tumblr, so this blog will only be hosting reviews and swatches.

2015 Empties #4

Hello again readers!

These were the last items I used up in 2015! I was really impressed with how much I used up in the past year, and I can't wait to see what I use up in the next year. Even though this is the first empties post for 2016, I'm including it in the system from last year. Hope you enjoy!

Biore Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser – Empty*:
I really enjoy this. It's really great for controlling acne and clearing up the face. It's not a miracle product by any means, as I'll still get acne, but I do notice a difference when I use this product compared to when I don't.

Garnier Nourishing Cleansing Oil – Empty:
I'm not sure if I'll be buying this again or not, since I want to try out other brands. This got my makeup off so well, and so fast, and was a real MVP when I was working at the Haunt. It's dependable, and works like magic. The biggest downside I have is that the bottle leaks over a long period of use, which is why I have to have it in this plastic bag and why the label is rolling off. It leaks all over the counter and the medicine cabinet too so it's not the easiest to store.

Oil-Free Acne Wash – Empty:
Just an acne wash I got from the Dollar Tree. Nothing special. It's just a basic face wash, and did the job okay. If it didn't smell like grapefruit, I'd buy it again, but I cannot stand the smell of this product.

Clean and Clear Morning Burst Hydrating Gel Moisturizer – Empty*:
I've been avoiding moisturizers for ages because a lot of them leave a film on my face, that just fuels the oil production, making my face look drenched by the end of the day. Switching to gel moisturizers has been the beset decision I have ever made because I get that hydration that I desperately need and it doesn't make my face feel greasy. It absorbs into the skin within just about two minutes or so and hydrates it just enough without being too greasy. The perfect moisturizer to put on the face before makeup.

Equate Oil-Free Makeup Remover – Empty*:
Still my favorite makeup remover. I haven't found one that I've liked better than this. It gets the job done, doesn't hydrate the eye area, and helps keep my skin in good condition.

SkinNutritions Clarifying Lotion – Empty*:
I've been trying out the SkinNutritions line, and while I hate all of the other steps (the cleanser is too drying, and the moisturizer is FAR to much for my oily skin) but this one is rather nice. I still prefer witch hazel, but this is a nice little vacation, especially when my skin needs a bit of a pick-me-up right after a super hot shower. It's really hydrating, removes any traces of makeup or soap, and leaves my skin feeling so soft!

Benefit The Porefessional – Empty:
I wasn't really a fan of this. It's okay, but it wasn't my favorite. To me it's not really worth the price since I didn't notice phenomenal results.

NYX HD Concealer 01 – Porcelain – Empty:
This had a super light base, so I only used this under my eyes. It definitely made me look awake, but I found it to be a bit too heavy for under the eye coverage.

Stargazer White Foundation – Empty:
Finally used up the rest of the foundation while working at the haunt. This foundation is good to mix in with other foundations that would otherwise be too dark, or even just on it's own to white my face out. It's about the same price as the Manic Panic Dream Tone white foundation, so I'm going to continue to buy the Manic Panic foundation over this one since I prefer it.

Revlon Colorstay Ivory – Empty*:
One of my favorite foundations of all time, even if it's a little more pink than I prefer. It's super light, doesn't oxidize much on me, and applies like a dream. It keeps my skin looking good and doesn't make me look oily through the day. What a great foundation, I have three backups!

NYX Matte Finish Setting Spray – Empty*:
I haven't been into setting sprays as much as I probably should so this is the only one that I really do love. It doesn't add anything else to my face, and helps control oil, and soaks up any excess powder. It's a step that I sometimes forget and I definitely notice a better makeup day if I use it.

NYX Eyeshadow Single – Nude – Empty:
I wasn't using this as an eyeshadow, but rather as a really nice highlight. It was a little darker than my skin tone, but it looked fine layered nicely over a blush. It didn't have shimmer but it had a nice sheen to it that looked really natural.

Essence Gel Eyeliner – Midnight in Paris – Old:
I've had this eyeliner for what seems like forever. It's pigmented and it lasts a really long time. I forgot how much I enjoyed it until I started wearing it every day for work! The only reason I'm getting rid of it now is because after the haunt season, it started drying up. Plus it had baby powder in it too making it clump together. Wasn't going to be using it after that ...

H&M Angled and Crease Dual-Ended Brush – Broken*:
I love these brushes so much, just for the angled brush side. They're perfect for applying product to the eyebrows with great control. I get them for about a dollar or so when they go on sale, so when I find them, I stock up!

NYX Micro Brow Pencil – Ash Brown – Empty*:
I didn't get brow pencil hype, until I tried this. This is now my favorite product for filling in my brows. I can go stylized, or I can go natural, depending on the on the pressure or how much product I use.

Maybelline Master Shape Eyebrow Pencil – Soft Brown – Broken:
This was another brow pencil that I really liked, but after a while when I'd go to sharpen it (I tried three different sharpeners!) the wood would splinter and after one painful experience, I stopped using it. I think it was just this particular pencil, because some wood just isn't that great all the way through, so I might pick up another one in the future. I haven't decided yet. I did like how natural my brows looked when I used this though.

Too Faced Shadow Insurance – Old:
This product is okay, not a favorite of mine by a long shot. It kept separating and started being too much of a hassle, so I'm just pitching it so I can use other primers that I actually enjoy.

Wet n Wild Eyeshadow Single – Sellout – Old:
Sellout is so pretty (dupe of the more recently released Cheeky). Since I have cheeky, I couldn't keep this. I shattered it ages ago, and re-pressed it, but it's too lose and just has so much fallout now that it gets everywhere. It's not practical.

Softlips Vanilla Lip Balm – Empty*:
I've been using these up like crazy. Downside of having a love for ultra matte liquid lipsticks. What can I say, I love the staying power, not so much the dryness afterwards. These little sticks have a lot of product in them, they moisturize my lips quickly and add a little plump to them.

Milani Infinite Liquid Eyeliner – Everlast – Empty*:
Still my favorite liquid liner ever. I wish it didn't gum up as quickly as it does, because after you use it for a few months, it starts getting really thick and goopy, making it take longer to dry and just so much more messy! Aside from that problem I still love it and can't wait to go out and get a new tube!

Revlon Precision Clear Lash Adhesive – Old:
I. Hate. This. Stuff. I used it when I worked at the Haunt, and while it did apply the lashes quickly and efficiently, the container is just shitty. No matter what I did, no matter how many times I wiped it clean, there would be product that would get in the tracks of the cap, and would glue the cap together. You can even see all the disgusting glue that got pushed out! I liked it enough to use it through the season, but I won't be repurchasing. Plus, it isn't waterproof so those two nights where I had tears in my eyes from pain/sickness my lashes fell right off.

ELF Makeup Remover Pen – Empty*:
I don't know what I did with myself before I started keeping one of these pens in my collection at all times. It's so easy to clean up little makeup messes, like messed up eyeliner or to really clean up eyebrows before going in with some concealer. It's just so nifty and can take an okay makeup day and make it a great makeup day.

CoverGirl Clump Crusher Waterproof – Empty*:
My favorite mascara. I have no hope of having huge, fluffy lashes because I just don't have the lashes for that without the help of falsies. However, this mascara makes what little lashes I have stand out, and that's more than good enough for me. Plus, the water resistant formula (I don't consider it waterproof because I have had myself a good few cries and it WILL come off. Also quite a few encounters with rain!) lasts me all day which is great so I don't have to worry about touch-ups.

2015 Empties #3

Hello again readers!

This post of empties has so much more than I usually include. I went through some things, and wanted to get rid of things that went bad too. I went through all of my hair products, and makeup, and it was a little ordeal. I'm glad to finally get these out of my life so I can make room for the new.

Hair

Got2B Rockin' It Dry Conditioner – Old:
A good idea, but just wasn't for me. I have fine, wavy hair that just doesn't need so much extra conditioning added. If I add too much my hair gets really oily and gross. So I like the idea of this product but I really hated actually using it.

Not Your Mothers Clean Freak Dry Shampoo – Empty:
I really liked this at first. The smell is clean, and a little masculine, and it did make my hair look clean. The issue I had with this, is that it left behind a residue that never went away, no matter how well I brushed it out. I have rather light hair, so I didn't notice a white cast, but when I would run my fingers through my hair it would pick up some of the residue and just leave my hands feeling dirty.

Lusti Natruals Argan Oil – Old:
Same issue with the spray conditioner, I just didn't need this much moisture in my hair! I know this would work on other hair types, just didn't work for me. I barely used this at all.

Loreal Studio Hair Gel – Old:
I'm really bummed about this product because I LOVED the L'Oreal Paris Studio line ... can you even get them anymore? They smell so good, and worked so well for my hair. I still have a couple of products that are still going strong though, and I'm going to be crushed when they're gone for good ...

Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Smoothing Milk – Old:
I remember when I used this all of the time in High School (not this exact bottle). I used it all day long to keep my  hair frm being frizzy, but my hair was an oily wreck and this did not help things. It didn't suit my hair at all but it was nostalgic to find this in the cabinet.

Got2B Glossy Shine Serum – Old:
This stuff is such a cute little product with a similar effect as the Garnier Smoothing Milk. This added shine to your hair making it look super hydrated and healthy. It was really easy to go overboard with this product too and I only used it when I had longer hair. I really liked this product for when I would do zombie/monster looks, because it made my hair look super unwashed and oily without any effort at all! To each their own I suppose. Unless I'm going to be doing looks like that again (perhaps next scare season!) I don't see myself buying this again.

Got2B Glued Hair Gel – Old:
I used to use this when I had shorter hair in the back, but I never really liked it. It would be great if you liked short, spiky hair (or if you didn't want your hair to move at all) but I always hated wearing it. It made my hair feel hard, crunchy, and really dry. It was a pain to remove too.

Face

So Fresh So Clean Deep Cleansing Nose Strips – Empty*

T.N.Dickinsons Witch Hazel – Empty*

SkinNutritions Facial Cleanser – Empty:
This is one of those cleansers that just soak up everything on your skin – including the good oils! I have oily skin and though I like my skin feeling clean I don't like it feeling "squeaky" clean. I like to have some natural oils still in my skin to keep it from acting up or getting dehydrated. This just didn't work out for me at all!

Daiso Charcoal Peel-Off Mask – Empty*:
I had my friend Ani pick me up another tube of then when she went to Japan, I really love it! I can use it all over my face, or just in my problem areas for a nice little extra. I don't use it too often, since I don't want to wreck my skin, but once every two weeks or so I'll put some of this on and just let it work it's magic.

Equate Oil-Free Makeup Remover – Empty*:
I haven't found a better makeup remover out there. This was the real MVP when I was a scare actor, as it removed fake blood, helped loosen up latex, removed waterproof mascara and liner, and even removed lash glue! What a fantastic bottle of magic!

St. Ives Apricot and Green Tea Facial Scrub – Empty*:
I tried both, and I think I'm going to be buying a large tube of the green tea. It really helped when I had a build-up of blackheads on my nose and helped calm my skin down a little. I really loved how gritty it was and out of the two of them, this was my favorite.

Mario Badescu Oil-Free Moisturizer SPF 17 – Empty:
This was okay. I don't see myself ever buying a full-size of this product, because I have better facial moisturizers with sun screen in them. Hell, I would rather just wear a foundation with spf in it. It was really thick and oily, and just left my skin feeling suffocated.

T.N.Dickinsons Witch Hazel Cleansing Cloths – Empty:
These are great if you're traveling. Saturated soft cloths soaked in witch hazel. Easy to pull out and use. I cut them into four squares, because an entire cloth is too big so I can get 100 uses out of it. Which, if you're going somewhere and can't take a large bottle of Witch Hazel with you, this is probably a better alternative.

Lips

L'Oreal Color Riche Balm – Laze in the Maze and Legaly Regal – Empty:
These were nice sheer colors, but I wasn't blown away with either of them. Legally Regal was nice, but a bit too white-toned for my liking, and Laze in the Maze was just too bright of a pink for me. A nice soft, hydrating formula though.

Revlon Lip Butter – Gumdrop – Old:
I'm really sad I can't get another tube of this. I really loved the cool-toned lavender look on my lips. It was so cute!

NYX Round Lipstick – Minimalism – Old

Maybelline Color Whipser Oh La Lilac – Empty:
Nothing blew me away with this product. It was a sheer wash of color, but that's all it delivered.

LUSH Popcorn Lip Scrub – Old*

Fyrinnae Lip Lustre – Dragon's Blood, Pygmy Hippo, and Winter Romance – Empty*:
I already have full-sizes of Pygmy Hippo and Winter Romance, and if you even think you're going to like a color, just go for the full-size, it's better worth your money. I used these maybe for a week straight each, and then ran out of product. Full-sizes will get you through what feels like a lifetime.

Eyes

NYX Gel Eyeliner and Smudger – Teal, Cobalt Blue, and Jet Black – Old:
All of these just, dried up. I never was super fond of them, save the Cobalt Blue shade. They were okay, without being waterproof or smudge proof. Aside from that, they did last quite a long time, and through an eight hour long day, which is what most of us need from an eyeliner. I wasn't wild about these, and I was thinking of re-buying the Cobalt Blue and Teal ones, but you can't get these on the Ulta website, just on the NYX website, and they raised the price of these. I could have sworn I remembered getting these when they were only about six dollars ... Oh well.

Maybelline Color Tattoo Bad to the Bronze and Seashore Frost – Old*

Maybelling Color Tattoo Tough as Taupe – Empty*

Essence Gel Liner – Miami Ink – Old

Miscellaneous

Wet n Wild Silent Treatment Trio – "Empty":
I just buy this trio for the cool-toned taupe shade at the bottom. Well, it shattered, so I depotted it into another container and I'm throwing away the rest of the trio since I have no use for it.

ELF High Definition Undereye Setting Powder – Empty*:
This product is fantastic for setting the under eye area. I'm not wild about the glitter (if they took the glitter out, it'd be PERFECT) so it could be improved, but it sets my under eye concealer so quickly without looking cakey and drying the area out that I love to use it!

Real Techniques Beauty Sponge – Old:
I really loved this sponge. Blended out my foundation with ease, and never left too much product to settle on the skin. I didn't use it all the time since I still prefer brushes, but when I wanted a very natural look, I would reach for this one. I haven't decided if I'm going to buy a new one or not, since I have some new sponges I wanted to try out first.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer – Fair – Empty*:
I already bought a new one, since I couldn't live without this product. It has such a strange peach/grey tone to it, that I can't get enough. It doesn't highlight my under eye, just brightens it only a little (it's practically my skin tone) and it blends into my foundation seamlessly. Really enjoy how easy it is to use this product.

NYX HD Concealer – 02 Fair – Empty*:
Really love this concealer. It matches my skin tone, it's easy to blend, and with medium coverage. Haven't gotten around to purchasing a new one quite yet, but after I'm done trying out a couple other ones I know I'll snatch one up soon.

NYC Smooth Skin Sunny Bronzer – Old:
This product ended up getting hard pan. No matter how much I would rub and scrape, I'd use it once and it'd harden all over again. I did have it for quite a while, and although it was a nice matte product, it was too orange for my tastes. I won't be buying a new one.

"DarlingGirl Cosmetics Greyicious Lilac" – Empty*:
I have the quote around what's actually in the little baggie, because technically, this baggy is for Notoriously Morbid's Necromancy Blusher, which I put into the Greyicious Lilac container for easier use. I did use up the Greyicious Lilac powder, and I LOVED it. I bought a full-sized to continue to use, just have to finish up Necromancy first!

My Pretty Zombie Cosmetics Dr. Pickles' Miraculous Beauty Dust – Empty:
I was really confused, because when I first got this product, I swore up and down it was an eyeshadow that was just terrible quality. Only to find out that it never swatched properly because it's a green setting powder! This helps neutralize redness, and it doesn't leave a green-tint to the skin. Double win! I don't have much redness on my face, so I don't personally have a use for a green setting powder.

Maybelline Tastefully Taupe Eyeshadow – Broken:
Usually I'd press eyeshadows that broke, but this was just too messy, and I didn't reach for it enough to put forth the effort. I just have so many other taupe shadows I would rather use. Oh well, into the bin it goes.

Beautiful Day and Dancing Waters AntiBacterial Gel – Empty*

EOS Cucumber Hand Lotion – Empty:
I really hated thsi hand lotion. It was super thin, and didn't do much to moisturize my hands at all. If they were already drying out, well then i was out of luck. If my hands were fine, it just made them feel softer, but not hydrated. Sort of like their round lip balms, where if your lips are already hydrated it'll just ... do nothing to really help you but they smell nice. Really disappointed with it.

These boots finally kicked the bucket! They got me through working in the Haunt, and that's all I really expected them to do. They were incredibly worn before I even started, being almost two years old. By the end there were holes forming inside of them, tears on the outside, and the sole was coming up off of them too. They hung on until the end! That's true dedication!

2015 Empties #2

Hello again readers!

It's that time again, time to clean out my bag of empties and get rid of the clutter! Not all of these are technically empty, some of these are just old, or broken, but bear with me. They needed to be thrown out.

Hair

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle*:
I really love this for  my hair, especially when it's longer. I went through this bottle really fast, because Emma had color treated hair when she was visiting, and she used a lot of it. It's cheap, it works great, and leaves hair feeling soft and smooth. I'm going to hold off on buying it again until I have longer hair, because since it's so short, it goes right to my scalp and leaves my roots looking a little too greasy.

Garnier Fructis Volume Extend Instant Bodifier Dry Shampoo for Fine or Flat Hair:
I thought I'd give this a try, since it got such good reviews. Now I wasn't in love with this, by any means. It did make my hair look clean, but I didn't notice any volume added to my hair at all, it still fell flat. After a few hours, my hair looked gross, and had the added product at my roots that I had to use my clarifying shampoo to get out. It didn't work for me at all.

Matrix Total Results Repair Conditioner:
A product left behind by Emma that I thought I'd try. I can see why it's good for color treated hair, because like the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle, it left my hair feeling so soft and smooth! I really enjoyed it, and she enjoyed it too for her hair. Kept her color lasting well into her stay. It was 12 dollars, something that I would never see myself paying for a conditioner (maybe in the future when I make a steady income), but it was nice to use this one up.

Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Shampoo (Travel Size):
I really think this one would work, if I had dry hair. I have an oily scalp, well, an oily everything. This product went into overdrive to deliver moisture to my hair, that within 12 hours, it would start to look greasy. I generally wash my hair every other day, so within 12 hours and it looks gross? No thanks!

Deodorant

Degree Dry Protection Cool Rush*:
I've said it a bunch of times, but this is my go-to deodorant. Neutral scent, works wonders for my armpits, and keeps the sweat at bay. Wonderful product.

Old Spice Foxcrest:
I was expanding my horizons and thought to give this one a try. It was okay, but I wasn't wild about it. It has a thick masculine scent that just overwhelms my own scent, and any perfume/cologne that I would wear that day. I could only pair it with other masculine scents, because anything else would be too much of a contrast. It was too much for me, but it did stick around for the entire day, which was good.

Dove Men+ Care Dry Spray Extra Fresh:
Thought to try this for not only my armpits, but my feet too since it's summer. I wasn't wild about this one, either. I love the soap from this line, but the deodorant is just too different. It's almost bitter, and whenever I sprayed it it lingered in the room for quite a while - up to an hour! It wasn't the best, but i was fortunate (or unlucky, depending on which side you're on) and I dropped it off of my TV stand, and the nozzle broke off. It settled in there nice for photos, but if I'd shake it it'd go all over the place. I was glad I didn't have to use it up, but also sad that I didn't get a chance to use it up either.

Face

L'Oreal Go 360 Clean - Ideal Clean Facial Wash*:
Gets my face clean, and doesn't leave it feeling dried out. The little scrubby pad is an excellent addition, and REALLY helps get my face clean. I was really impressed as I was expecting it to be a useless tool. Really want to try the other varieties of this line.

Garnier Nourishing Cleansing Oil*:
I was always really against using oils, but I love this one. Easily removes all of my makeup without hassle. It's fantastic!

Equate Oil-Free Makeup Remover*:
Another long-time favorite. Why mess with a good thing, because this remover gets rid of my waterproof mascara and liner easily, and even the stubborn eyelash glue from my lids. A really inexpensive product that works wonders.

Clean and Clear Morning Burst Facial Scrub:
I really wasn't a fan of this first off, because it smelled like orange bathroom cleaner... Very off-putting. Also I really don't like exfoliating too often, and this did nothing for my skin. It made me feel a bit more awake, but if anything all it did was make my face red and a little irritated, and I don't even have very sensitive skin!

Clearasil Ultra Rapid Action Pads:
These were painful! My sister really likes them, but they didn't do much for my face. When I would go to rub them in the spots I needed it (chin, between my brows, and around my nose) it would leave a burning sensation with how harsh it was, and just felt like I was peeling my skin off... It didn't even clear up any of my spots, so I was just disappointed.

Clean and Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment*:
I really love this acne product though, because it does work. It helps cut my healing time in half (which is a huge deal, because I'm a skin picker so anything that helps my spots and scabs heal quicker is an A in my book). It isn't too harsh, and really helps me keep my skin under control.

Ponds Rejuveness Anti-Wrinkle Cream:
I didn't really like this much. It was much too emoliant for my skin type, and if I'd apply it at night, it'd still be on my face like a mask by morning.... I also don't have an issue with wrinkles quite yet, so I'm not sure if it really does anything. It did leave my skin feeling nice, but it's just not good enough for me to want to buy it again.

Makeup Wipes

ELF Makeup Remover Cleansing Cloths*:
These makeup cloths are just amzing. They remove even the most stubborn makeup without too much effort. Great for when you're just too tired to do a full routine before washing your face, or when you just can't be damned to find a makeup remover.

So Fresh So Clean Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes:
I keep buying these to keep in my purse when I go makeup shopping. Great to just get rid of the pesky swatches off of my hand so it doesn't transfer onto my sleeve. I don't use these on my face, though.

Body

Alcohol*:
This is one of those products used for beauty, that always seems to get overlooked. Cleaning out acrylic containers after an eyeshadow spill? Alcohol. Want to sanitize your products? Alcohol. Have a cut? Alcohol. Well, maybe a cut isn't beauty related, but an infected cut is not very pretty! I always like to have a bottle on hand, and since I got two for a dollar a bit ago, I have a couple of backups.

EOS Pomegranate Raspberry Shave Cream*:
The best shaving cream I have ever tried. I love it, and I have yet to stray at all.

White Rain Moisturizing Shower Gel, Gentle Facial Scrub, and Facial Cleanser Makeup Remover:
I'm going to be making a separate blog post about these, but the gist is that I didn't like any of them. What a shame, they're so cheap and you get quite a bit in them!

Bath and Body Works AntiBac Hand Sanitizer - Noir and Dragons Blood*:
My go-to hand sanitizer. I have one on my desk, by my makeup area, and in my purse. I always have backups. Noir was really masculine, and though I liked the scent, it wasn't something I always liked on my hands. Dragons Blood is a long time favorite. Can't wait till Halloween so I can stock up on Vampire Blood (both are Plum scented, just named differently).

Eye Glass Cleaner:
Kind of shocking to ever showcase something like this, but I finally used up not one, but TWO bottles of lens cleaner. I'm like normal people with their lipbalms, when it comes to my lens cleaner. I usually lose them, before I use them up! I'm really proud with my progress, because I can just refill them so I'll always have some on hand. I want to take really good care of my frames, because I'm really fond of the ones that I have this time around.

Face Makeup

Wet n Wild Coverall Pressed Powder - Fair*:
I really fell in love with this powder. I was hesitant at first, because a lot of times with drugstore it's hit and miss, but this was just wonderful. A good light coverage that just evens out my flaws, while still letting my skin shine through. It's a great no-nonsense product, that I have really enjoyed, and will continue to enjoy as I have yet to find another powder foundation that I love as much as this.

Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation Light Porcelain*:
I used the last of this little guy at the beginning of the summer, and I'm wondering if it's because the life of this foundation was over with, or if my skin has changed, but I don't know if I love this foundation as much as I did a year ago. I have another tube left, so we'll see...

Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Translucent Setting Powder:
I liked this at first. Having a pressed setting powder to mattify the face was a great idea (ELF has one that i put in my purse for on-the-go touch ups!) and I was happy to have a large size. Loose powders are great, but messy, and I thought this would be a good alternative. The issue that I (and many others) have with this, is that the more you use it, the gunkier it gets. It really gets disgusting, clinging to any oil and bacteria being transferred from your face to the brush to the powder, and causing a hard surface to form. It can be sanded away and santized, but it just forms again soon after. It's a hassle, and frustrating, and not worth it in my opinion.

Hot Topic Red Blush:
I used this as a sort of eyeshadow for years. It was too red for a blush, at least for me, and worked better that way. It took a tumble down onto my floor and shattered in the pan, and I just didn't see myself going through the effort to press it down again. I have other products I like much more for a red-eye look.

ELF Studio Powder Brush*:
This brush is my favorite, for both powder and liquid foundations. It just applies them so well, and flawlessly. It does however soak up liquid foundation, and it's a bit of a pain to wash out completely, but it's sooo worth it.

Lips

Make Up Forever Rouge Artist Natural Lipstick in N9 Copper Pink:
This lipstick was okay. I used it up, but clearly I wasn't in love with it if it took me about a year to finish off the deluxe sample. The formula was okay, but the color wasn't something I was in love with.

NYX Extreme Lip Cream Candy Land:
I don't know what it was, but ever since I bought this it was just... so strange. I had Absolute Red (which I gave to Emma, she LOVES red lipsticks!) but I wasn't fond of it. Candy Land felt thicker, and it was a patchier application, making me a little frustrated. Eventually it started feeling gross and smelling off, so into the bin it goes.

ELF Glossy Gloss Berry Blush:
I really did enjoy this gloss. It wasn't sticky, the color was great, and it lasted a good amount of time. Too bad they aren't really selling them much (they might just be discontinued) which is a shame. They were great glosses.

Softlips Sugar and Spice:
I really enjoyed this in the fall, and I had a little bit left for the spring. I ended up taking forever to finish, because every time I used it I kept thinking 'fall', and would want to keep it just a little longer. I eventually used it up unfortunately, so if I see this in store again I'm going to stock up.

ELF Lip Lock Pencil*:
I didn't even use this up, but I went to put the cap on, and the dispenser bit that stick up snapped off! I was pretty upset, I had a little more than half of it left. Oh well, guess it gives me a chance to go buy a new one.

Eye Makeup

Jordana Best Lash Extreme:
I used to love this mascara so much, because it gives great length, and volume. Unfortunately, since it's not waterproof,  I don't see myself reaching for it as often as my other mascaras, and it ends up going bad without too much use. It was great for just days when I was doing errands and didn't want to worry too much about my makeup, but it ended up becoming something that just sat and collected dust. I'm not sure if I'll pick up another tube in the future, because I did love it, but for now I'm moving on to other mascaras to try out instead.

Milani Eyeshadow Primer:
I wasn't super blown away with this. I've heard on the internet that it's similar to the Urban Decay Primer Potion, but in this case I don't think so. I've done a comparison post on different primers, and it was just okay. Sometimes if I used too much or it's been a long day, I'll notice my eyeshadow creasing through the day. It's not the worst primer I've ever used, but it's far from the best, so I'm not going to pick this up again.

Milani Infinite Liquid Eyeliner - Everlast*:
Still one of my favorite eye liners of all time. Pigmented, and could probably last through an explosion, although hard to get off.

ELF Eyebrow Treat and Tame - Medium:
So this is just the Tame side, but I can tell you this: I hated it. I wasn't a fan of the Light one I bought, I gave it to Emma since she had red-toned hair, but this one was just not that great for me. I have thin, light, almost non-existent eyelashes. It wasn't enough to give them body. The only time I really enjoyed this, is if I drew on my brows, and used this to seal them. I prefer a clear brow gel for that purpose, so I'm not going to be picking up another one of these, although I really like the 'treat' side, and I'm keeping that until I use it up.

Maybelline Waterproof Falsies Mascara - Blackest Black*:
I really do like this mascara, but not sure when I'll pick it up again. I know I will, because I love how it looks on my lashes, but I have a list of different mascaras I want to try out now, so I want to set this to the side of my "needs", and try some new ones out before I come back.

Physicians Formula Eye Booster 2-in-1 Lash Boosting Eyeliner + Serum*:
Also one of my favorite eyeliners of all time. Easy to use, pigmented, and it lasts an incredibly long time, even for me and my oily lids! I'm really pleased with it, and I can't help but make sure I always have a back up in case I start running low, even if it lasts me a good while!

Nails and Perfume

Sephora Travel Glass Nail File:
This isn't available anymore, but the large one is. I bought it for $8 quite a while ago, and it lasted pretty well, with rather rough handling. The plastic was eaten away from an acetone accident (the casing was still okay, just lost the purple in places) and the file itself was unharmed... until it took one drop too many and shattered on the inside. It was rather loose inside anyway, so I'm not surprised, just a little sad. I won't be replacing because I didn't really reach for it, and I can't replace it even if I wanted to since Sephora no longer offers it.

Wet n Wild Wild Shine Top Coat:
It's not bad, but about halfway through the bottle it started getting goopy and stringy. Not something I'm looking for in a top coat.

Daisy by Marc Jacobs Perfume Sample*:
I didn't think I liked this at first, but I felt in love. It smells so good on me, and it just makes me really happy when I wear it. I'm a little miffed, because it is a rather large chunk of change, but one day I will buy the full-size of this for my collection.

2015 Empties #1

Hello again Readers!

Asterisks are items I have backups of, or I  plan to repurchase.

Face, Body, and Nails
Bath and Body Works Fresh Market Apple Anti-Bacterial Lotion - Empty
Nivea Rasberry Rose Kiss Lip Butter - Empty
Bath and Body Works Rain-kissed Laves Moisture Rich Cleansing Bar - Empty. Mum bought this for me so I could use it on my face, but I really didn't like it. It left my skin feeling tight and over-dried. It didn't do much for my complexion either, aside from cleansing.
LUSH Charity Pot - Empty. I really disliked the scent of this, and even for a small sample, it took me almost an entire year to use it up because I disliked it so much... ick.
Crest Clinical  Health Toothpaste - Empty
GlamGlow Powermud Sample - Empty. It didn't do anything for my face. It was pretty useless, though I got a few uses out of it. It was a Sephora 100 point perk.
L.A. Colors Strawberry Scented Nail Polish Remover Pads - Empty
Cha Cha Paris Hilton Perfume Sample - Empty. I debated on buying a full-size, but I have had this sample since I was in high school... which was about 6 years ago... A sample that took me six years to use up, is not a perfume that I should be buying.
Sally Hansen Nail File - Destroyed. My nails are so hard that they just decimate any emery boards that aren't glass... It just rubs all of the grit right off.

Makeup

Revlon Pink in the Afternoon Cream Lipstick - Old. I liked this lipstick enough, although it's  not very unique. I went to reach for it one day, and it smelled really chemically, when usually it doesn't smell as bad. To the bin it goes.
L'Oreal Collection Privee - Doutzen's Nude: Empty. Wasn't fond of this, it was a very light pink, and it wasn't that pigmented. Gave me a nice corpse effect though.
Rimmel Show Off Nova Lip Laquer - Empty/Broken*. I know there's some product left, but towards the end of it's life, the applicator tip broke off into the container. Boo. I have a backup from Ireland, so I'm okay.
Maybelling Great Lash Royal Blue Mascara - Empty*
Maybelline Mega Plush Navy Velvet Mascara - Empty. It wasn't that great of a mascara. It looked somewhat fluffy, but it didn't add much volume or length to my sad, sad lashes.
Bellatrix Lip Gloss - Old.
Maybelline Falsies Blackest Black Mascara - Empty*
Wet n Wild Envy Color Icon Eyeshadow Single - Broken*
ELF Makeup Remover Pen - Empty*
NYX HD 03 Light Concealer - Empty
Jordana Twist and Shine Honey Love - Empty.
Bath and Body Works Goldie Lip Gloss - Doll - Old.

2014 Empties #3

Hello again readers!

So this is the last empties post of 2014! Out with the old, in with the new, and this time around, there is a LOT of stuff that's going. I recently went through my entire collection, and got rid of the products that were too old to use (even by my standards) so I went ahead and got rid of them. I also finished a lot too (mostly lipsticks) because I wanted them gone.

Asterisks are products that I would repurchase, or have backups of already.

Body
Finesse ReVitality Volumize and Correct Conditioner - Empty*
Not Your Mothers Beach Babe Texturizing Shampoo - Empty*
April Vanilla Brown Sugar Body Wash  - Empty*
Skin Milk Shower Gel - Empty*
Eucerin Skin Calming Lotion - Empty
Bath and Body Works Vampire Blood Hand Sanitizer - Empty* :( I'm sad because I went to stock up on this particular scent, and I missed out this year. Hopefully they'll bring the plum scent sometime in the near future... Sugar Plum works for now.
Crest Toothpastes - Empty
Degree Fresh Deoderant - Empty. I figured out that deodorants that cater to females just don't work for me. They're not strong enough. Such a shame, because they have some amazing scents that I now miss out on. Boo.

Face
 Apricot Face Scrub - Empty*
Cetaphil Daily Cleanser - Empty
Sea Breeze Facial Wash - Empty*
Neutrogena Foaming Face Wash - Empty
Equate Daily Face Wash - Empty
ELF Daily Brush Cleaner - Empty*
Botanical Choice Charcoal Nose Pore Strips - Empty
Neutrogena Makeup Remover Wipes - Empty*

Face Products

Revlon Nearly Naked Ivory Foundation - Depotted
L'Oreal True Match Alabaster Foundatin - Depotted
Neutrogena Skin Clearing Foundation - Classic Ivory - Empty
Aziza Buff Beige Liquid Foundation - Old*
Hard Candy Sheer Envy Primer - Empty
Obscure Blush Brush - It's falling apart it needed to go.
ELF HD Setting Powder - Empty*
Physicians Formula Healthy Wear Translucent Light Foundation - Empty
Wet n Wild Fergie Take on the Day Mattifying Powder - Empty. It still has a teeny bit of product left, but I hated this powder so much it wasn't even worth it.
Maybelling Fit Me Concealer in Light - Old. It's such a shame that these don't come a bit lighter, because they are AMAZING concealers, and this concealer did wonders, but it was too dark for me, and oxidized darker. What a shame.
L'Oreal True Match Compact in Alabaster - Old. I have had this for YEARS. I am completely ashamed.
ELF Eyebrow Kit in Medium - Old*

Isn't this just the most satisfying sight?

Lip Products
Milani Color Statment Lipstick in Fruit Punch, Uptown Mauve, and Best Red - Empty
NYX Butter Lipstick in Lollies - Empty
ELF Blackberry Creme Soothing Lip Balm - Empty
ELF Essential Lipstick in Fantasy - Broken
Nivea A Kiss of Mint & Minerals, and Milk & Honey - Empty
Revlon Creamsicle Lip Butter - Empty
Wet n Wild Fuchsia with Blue Pearl Lipstick - Old
Wet n Wild Megalast Sugar Plum Fairy and (not pictured) Cherry Bomb - Old**
Wet n Wild Megalast Vamp it Up - Empty*
BlackHeart Beauty Pink and Purple Lip Palette - Old. It had mold when I got it and I swatched it anyway and it was not worth my time at all.
ELF Heartbreaker Lip Stain - Just awful
ELF Matte Lip Color in Coral - Empty
Wet n Wild Fantasy Makers Black Lipgloss - Old. Old as balls. I've had this forever and I should be ashamed all over again.
ELF Balm Stain - Berry and Grapefruit - Old* I love Grapefruit, so I'm going to pick that one up again, but I'm passing on Berry. I'm just not a big red fan anymore.

Primers and Bases

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Sky Blue, Black Bean, and Milk - Old. So old that they have separated and caused the plastic packaging to bubble. Incredibly alarming. I have jumbo pencils that I find to be easier to use, so I'll use those instead.
Wet n Wild Fergie Take on the Day Shimmer Primer - Old. Not bad for a shimmery primer, but I don't use shadows that I want to amplify that often, and I'd rather use my Barely Branded Color Tattoo in place of this. Not a bad product though, just not the perfect fit for me.
Wet n Wild Fergie Take on the Day Primer - Old. * I know not everyone likes this one, but I do. It works really well on my lids. I might pick up another tube, but not in the near future since I have some other tubes I need to work on first.
Too Faced Shadow Insurance - Empty.* I thought I'd like this more, and I just didn't. It's really misleading, because the packaging sucks up so much air when you're using it, so you can't really tell for sure when you're going to run out (I even used a toothpaste squeezy) until nothing else comes out. I have a little sample of this primer as a backup.
Urban Decay Primer Potion - Empty.* I liked this primer, but it's not one that I NEED to have. I have a sample though.
ELF Eyelid Primer - Empty* I have others on hand that I can use, and I like it for whenever I really want to amp up swatches so they have something tackier to cling to, but I'm over it for my own lids. I have better primers out there, and I don't mind the extra splurge on them.

Eye Products

Covergirl Shimmering Onyx Eyeshadow Single - Old.
Wet n Wild Panther Eyeshadow Single - Old. * Whenever I run out of my other matte black, I want to get this one again. A great matte black, and for only a couple bucks. You can't go wrong and i lasts you forever.
Jordana Easy Liner in Denim Blue, Blue Devine, and Black - Old
Jordana Fabuliner in Brown and Black - Old
Wet n Wild Coloricon Eyeliner in Boysenberry - Old
ELF Waterproof Eyeliner Pen in Midnight - Empty, or at least dried up like a desert.
ELF Liquid Eyeliner in Black, Silver, and Copper - Old. * I do have a backup of black, it's not bad for a liquid liner, but it's sure as hell not waterproof. I'd pass on the others, since they're not my style.
L.A.Colors. Eyeliner/Eyebrow Pencils - Old
NYX Extreme Blue Studio Liquid Liner - Old*

Mascaras

Maybelline Great Lash - I see Blue - Old. If I could, I would get another tube of this. I really like how it looks on my lashes, but my best best is at Big Lots or something. I can try!
Jordana Best Lenth Extreme - Old. Compared to the Best Lash Extreme, all of their other mascaras are just damn disappointing.
Rimmel London Scandaleyes Lycra Flex - Old. I liked this mascara at first, but it just didn't wow me. It got clumpy and the wand is ginormous.
Rimmel London Extra POP Lash - Old. Comic Sans. Really? The colors looked pretty great, but as a black mascara this was mediocre. It just coated the lashes, and though the colors could get by, this one just didn't make the cut. It was basic.
Sally Girl Bright Mascara Red - Old. I will miss these, because red mascara is such an odd thing to have and I liked wearing red lashes. They were really great for 50 cents a piece though!
ELF Black Glitter Mascara - God awful. In the tube it looks like magical unicorn tears, and on the lashes (or as a liner) it's nothing but disappointment. Hard. Crusty. Crumbly. Not something you want around your eyes. Ever.
CK One Mascara - Old. I got this as the free gift for my birthday and I hated it. It flaked like crazy, and the wand (though hella cool and serves a purpose) just didn't do it for me. The packaging is pretty awkward looking too. Not my cup of tea.
Physicians Formula Organic Wear Mascara - God awful. This mascara was a complete trainwreck for me. The first time I put it on, I loved it. It looked phenominal, my lashes looked so fluffy and amazing, and then within an our it flaked off onto my undereye area and my cheeks and disappeared. It really hated me, and I hated it too. The feeling was mutual.

I gotta say, I am SO glad I got rid of a lot of this stuff. There's other things I purged too, and put into my giveaway bin for my friends to go through at their leisure but they were still usable with some sanitizing. Having all of these things out of my collection is like a breath of fresh air, and makes room for new things to come into play so I can have space for them. 2015, here I come!
