Gets, and reviews

Hello again readers~

It was a crazy past couple of days! Thursday night, Akira ate! Though, he REFUSES to eat the fish flakes (his usual diet) and will only eat the beta pellets, so that was easy...

Though today he's been doing well. He's been eating regularly, and has been responding to my voice again, and has been swimming! Just yesterday, he barely got off the pebbles on the bottom, and today he's swimming all over the place. It's a wonderful change. :)

REVIEWS

Wet n Wild Baked Palettes in: Baked, Not Fried, Bake-Off Contest, and Baking a Cake, and Wet n Wild I ♥ Matte palette.

Ohhhh it flipped my photo to the right! But here are the swatches of Baked, Not Fried and the accompanying eyeliner! I was pleased, since this a great shimmer palette in neutral tones. Applied in pairs, top is dry, bottom is wet.

Swatches of Bake-Off Contest and the accompanying eyeliner. Each is sectioned into pairs, the top is applied dry, and bottom is applied wet.

Swatches of Baking a Cake and the accompanying eyeliner. Applied in pairs, top is dry, bottom is wet.

Now for the review!

I love how when applied wet, the pigmentation is just glamorous and incredibly amazing, even without the use of a primer. The eyeshadows are silky, and glide on smoothly.

Pros:
Baked, so can be applied easy wet, or dry
- Looks AMAZING applied wet
- Affordable (5 dollars for 6 colors)
- The eyeliners suit the palettes well

Cons:
The palette lids aren't attached to the palette, so it takes some effort to open and close the palette.
- The palettes don't come with brushes, or makeup sponges.

Overall: 4/5
I love the colors, I love the palettes, though the lids and the lack of brush/sponges is a hassle, they are still so great. Made up my mind that baked palettes are my favorite.

Swatches of I ♥ Matte. Left dry, right wet.

I did like this palatte, though the black was a let-down. I was hoping for a more carbon black, and it's more of a really dark brown-black shade. The blue, violet, and the neutral colors blew me a way, and the green is also sort of a let down as well.

Pros:
When applied wet, is really pigmented
- Many shades to choose from
- Easy to obtain
- Cheap (5 dollars)

Cons:
It says 'matte' but some of the shades have a slight shimmer to them, so it's not a true matte.
- The black color is a let down.
- The white is really chalky.

Overall: 4/5
This is a good pallete for the money I spent on it, and it is very versatile!

Today was pretty relaxing, though I did a lot. My parents took my sister and I to the mall, and to lunch~

First off: The mall~

Got these sweaters are Rue 21 for $7 each! They are perfect for me, and go all the way to my bum, so it's the style that I like, and colors I like too!

I kept trying to tell myself to stay away from printed T's, but who am I kidding? While at J C Penny's, I got a 'vintage' Batman shirt, a Pikachu shirt, and a Disturbed shirt!

And at Hot Topic, I got the "Welcome to Boo-tiful Newark, NJ" 10th anniversary t-shirt, THAT GLOWS IN THE DARK! You heard me right, it glows in the dark, and is something that I wanted since it was released, and my mother gave me the okay, so while she was buying Cardinal shirts with my sister, my father and I went to get it. I love it, so so so so so much!

Then we went to Sally Beauty. I was just going to get two nail polishes, but since my mother wanted a wallet that came free if you bought 3 Finger Paints colors, and Sarah needed me to pick 2 to make that happen, I picked a couple I wanted, and even found an alternative for a polish I wanted!

China Glaze in First Mate, Finger Paints in Where Art Renoir?, Finger Paints in Tiffany Imposter, and Orly in Androgynie, and Sally Girl Baked Eyeshadows in violet and gunmetal.

Close-ups for Orly Androgynie, and for Finger Paints in Where Art Renoir?.

Swatches of violet (left), and gunmetal (right). Dry, sliced, and applied wet.

REVIEWS

Tiffany Imposter: A nice polish that applies nicely, needs two coats to apply evenly.

First Mate: A thick polish that was a little hard to work with. Needs two coats for even application.

Where Art Renoir?: A brilliant polish, that glides on easy. Can be applied in two coats, put two on the swatcher for good measure.

Androgynie: Goes on sheer, definitely needs at least two coats for an opaque application, I suggest three.

October's Top 5's!

Hello again readers~

It's the beginning of November, and that means: OCTOBER'S TOP 5's!

Biore Blemish Fighting Ice Cleanser:
I have raved about this cleanser so many times and here I go again: THIS IS MY FAVORITE FACE WASH EVER TO EXIST! You can FEEL it working into your pores and cleaning your face, and it leaves your skin smooth, soft, and gives it a healthy glow.

Hot Topic Blue Nail Polish:
A bold pigmented blue creme. It just looks gorgeous!

E.L.F. Angled Eyeliner Brush:
This made it on my favorites for the second month in a row. I use it almost everyday, and the lines are thin and precise.

Aziza Liquid Foundation in Buff Beige:
A foundation that is basically made for me! It's a smidge darker than I am, but it's barely noticeable at all! It doesn't have an awful smell, and it doesn't clump up during the day. Great purchase for it only being a dollar.

Super Shine Naturalistics in Periwinkle Pearl:
A dark blue polish with violet shimmer. Just a wonderful color that's not as dark as black, but goes to the 'dark side' of the nail polish spectrum.

Halloween, Gets, and ZOMBIES.

Hello again readers~

Gosh it's been a while... sorry about that. I have been busy this week with school work. Wrote papers Tuesday, and all day Wednesday I was volunteering with the FEA (Future Educators of America) which I am now a member of (shocking to me too! :D). So in the course of two weeks, I joined two academic club/society/things. This year is going well!

I offered to make posters for the Octo-boo Fest, and this is one of them that I made with an incredibly lame name, but hey, it was designed for children! Everyone there found it sort of ironic and funny that it said "Caution: May STAIN clothes!" and then the sign that was put on the machine itself "DO NOT USE" made it seem like we put it there. We thought to move it, but we didn't because it was silly.

I dressed as a zombie! I didn't have liquid latex, or coagulated blood gel like I wanted to use, so I just used eyeshadow, eyeliner, and lip gloss to make it look all bloody and what not. Looked really gross... even worse at the end of the night:

Some of the makeup got rubbed off, so it make the 'gash' on my arm look like I got a really NASTY bruise, and the 'gash' on my chest look like it was an infected, open wound... it was gross haha and took about 10 minutes to get off with makeup remover before my shower.

Random side photo, I got this sticker of an owl while I was there, and put it on my E.L.F. Complexion Perfection powder case. It's so cute just smiling at me.

THIS THIS THIS. I know it wasn't on clearance, but I didn't care, I NEEDED this in my life. Introducing, my first MCR shirt. AIM FOR THE FACE! I love it so much and splurged on myself and used up my gift card to get this. It was WORTH it. I quickly left the store after purchasing, went to the bathroom, and changed into it! Wore it for the rest of the day.

And then went to Slackers. Found The Used: Lies for the Liars CD/DVD box set, and It was only 8 dollars! It has almost no damage, except the book on the inside got knocked loose but it will be easily fixed with a bit of glue.

September's Top 5

Hello again readers~

It's October 1st, that means: SEPTEMBER'S TOP FIVE!! :D

Shoulder-cut fashion top:
I absolutely love this top. So so so so so much. I got it from my best friend Anita from Rue 21, and it's just so cute, soft, comfortable, and flattering! She knows me WAY too well.

Fashion Necklace:
This is my new favorite necklace. I bought it at Forever 21, it goes with everything, and adds a nice edge to any outfit. I'm glad I picked this one up when I did, because it's just so beautiful, and my mother approves!

Hard Candy Matte Top Coat:
I was lusting after this nail polish, I bought it, and I love it. It's gorgeous, and dries pretty quickly, and gives nail polishes a whole new look!

E.L.F. Angled Eyeliner Brush:
This is my favorite eyeliner brush for everyday looks. I still love my Maybelline brush, but this one is just so much better for those thin lines, and is so much more precise.

Domo Pencil Case:
Keeps my pens, markers, lead refills, erasers, blending stick, comb, and ruler all in the same place. Has two compartments, so it's more organized. It's just perfect for me!

OOTD, FOTF, and Nuggets?

Hello again readers~

Today, was quite an exciting day... I finally gave my speech for my speech class, and I was SO nervous!! I was talking, and shaking, and had to pause at least twice to catch my breath and calm down. Oh... I hope she doesn't count me down too much since it was my first speech...

Between the classes, I was with my friends Arik and Emily, and Arik was helping me with my computer, then about 10:30 we all wanted McDonalds, but didn't leave till 10:45... my class starts at 11:00. Haha. We ordered, they messed it up, took FOREVER. I had five minutes, to scarf as many fries as I could, and get to class. I only managed 1/4 of my fries... so that's all I ate of those, but I ate my nuggets in class.

Luckily, since i managed to answer every question perfectly, and figured out three formulas off the top of my head to make the questions easier to solve, he didn't really care much. That, and I wasn't being disruptive. Just when he was talking I didn't reach for a nugget, and when he was writing I ate some. Haha. It was really awesome~ I am really obsessed with those nuggets....

Enough about my day, have outfit/makeup post~

I LOVE this top. I mean really love it. Anita is so great for buying it for meeeeeee. Also, my sister was really sweet to me, and braided my hair~ So it was all cute and wavy today. Apologies for the background, the corner is my stash of food stuffs/trash, and the other is all of the clothes from my closet organized in baskets... embarrassing...

I really do love this makeup look~ I got inspired from Zhi Zhi at Sweetheart <3 Fashion, so decided to try it myself, and I LOVED it.

August's Top 5

Hello again readers~

It's that time of the month (no, not THAT time of the month), August's Top 5!
Hello again readers~

It's that time of the month (no, not THAT time of the month), August's Top 5!

AUGUST'S TOP 5:
August's Top 5

Sassy Legs Hair Remover Pads:
These actually don't remove hair. At all. They do leave whatever areas you use them on incredibly soft. Now, as I've posted before, I had dry, flaky skin on my brow bone. It was super gross, made me look aged, and it made my foundation look even worse! I tried using an emery board on it earlier this month, but it was too harsh, and since I was messing with these on my arm I tried it on the dry skin. These might not be able to remove hair, but they're WONDERFUL at gently buffing away dead skin, and leaving silky, smooth-as-a-baby's-bottom skin behind. Glad I gave these a second chance.

Maybelline Falsies Mascara:
This. Is. My. Favorite. Mascara. Ever. It doesn't really run on me, and unless I'm DYING of sweat, it doesn't leave a "look at me I'm a raccoon!" effect under my eyes! They keep my lashes looking curled, and it makes them stand out too! It's wonderful, since I have straight, short eyelashes.

Gold Mustache Necklace:
Fond this little beauty at Forever21 for about six dollars, and I'm SO glad I did. Definitely one of my "hipster" pieces. I have gotten a few compliments on it, asked where I got it, etc. Unfortunately, the only way to get one is hope they have it in stock in store since they don't sell it online. Similar ones like this cost over $20! So be wary if you are looking for one!

China Glaze Fast Forward Top Coat:
This is my favorite top coat of all time. I am so impatient, it's not even funny, but if you put this over a semi-dry layer and wait a minute (really thirty seconds, but I wait extra just because) they feel dry to the touch (with your skins, not your nails)! Though I wouldnt' advise doing something too rough to your nails, you can go about your day like showering, typing, writing, etc. and not have to worry about messing up your nails. I just love it!

Witch Hazel:
I wasn't really happy with this ... at first. I picked it up because I heard it was a good toner and it was cheap (about two dollars!). I usually used a Sea Breeze astringent, but the bottle is smaller than this, costs more, and the astringent used to sting my skin with how harsh it was. When I first started using it, I hated it because it has a natural scent and I wasn't used to it (it honestly smelled a little gross at first) but it did such a good job that I was willing to work with it a bit. I'm really glad I gave it a chance. It keeps my skin clean, gets rid of any excess dirt/makeup/oil that may have been left after washing my face, and helps keep my acne at bay. As for the smell? It wears off in a few short minutes, so it's not a huge concern anymore. It's perfect if you have normal to oily skin, as it helps with the oil while not drying you out at all!

First Day of School, OOTD, and NOTD post.

Hello again readers!

Today I started my second year of college! I was a little nervous to be going again, but I do love the professor I have on Mondays and Wednesdays (I had him last Spring), and it's going to be an interesting year! I didn't have a lot of time to get ready this morning (I woke up with only a half hour, and I spent half of that time on Facebook...) but luckily today was an easy day for my look.

Just my 'first day of school shirt' (have worn it on the first day every year since I was a Junior in High School), with my black skinny jeans, and converse. I tied my hair up and put a clip on it, because I wanted it simple, and didn't really feel like straightening it. (Also, I apologize for the background... I've been cleaning my room, and had to stop on a dime last night as to not bother everyone in my house. TAT)

For my face, was almost the bare minimum. Concealer for my dark circles, foundation to even my skin tone, eyeshadow cream, eyeliner, and mascara. If I only had 10 minutes I would've skipped on the eyeliner and eyeshadow.

Lazy day, lazy post. (^^;;) I'm going to wrap it up with my nail post!

Base coat, China Glaze in Turned up Turquoise (Neon), and China Glaze Fast Forward Fast-Dry Top Coat. I really do love this color, and couldn't stop looking at it! @.@
