Shopping with Sarah

Hello again readers~

Forever 21:

I just found these three shadows, because they looked like colors I used to have in palettes, that I wasn't able to find anywhere else.

I got Dark Olive, Dark Blue, and Black/Silver.

Black/Silver: A black with a silver and slight blue shimmer in it.

Dark Blue: Dark blue with blue shimmer and slight silver shimmer.

Dark Olive: This was surprisingly the favorite out of the three. A dark olive green with gold shimmer. Just stunning.

I really like them when applied wet, they are really not that great if applied dry at all. Great for night looks.

Rue 21:

Two for  one tube skits~

1/2 sleeve top, two lace shirts, and a bustier top.

Woodstock; NOTD, FOTD, and NOTD

Hello again readers~

It has been far too long since I have updated, so now I'm starting with lots of updates! (Three tonight, at least one over the weekend, and two next week!). Just so many things have happened!

Last weekend, was the third annual Woodstock party at my wifey's house! For the occassion, I painted my nails and this time, I took a picture of this shade!

NOTD

 Finger Paints in Expressionist Red

I was very pleased with this color. It applies well, and it only needs to coat to become opaque. I did three just to be on the safe side in these photos.

I tried to be cool, and make an Eye of Sauron cake, with elvish inscriptions of the ring on the sides, and it didn't work out well.

Before we get to that, here's a reallyy cool (creepy to some!) picture of the red dye that makes it look more like muscle than icing. I thought it was awesome..

The cake wasn't all that bad when I originally finished. I did run out of room for the inscriptions on the side, but for a first time I thought it was decent!

That was until the next morning. The inscriptions I DID put on there, melted down, and it broke a bit off ... I tried to 'glue' it back with icing, but it didn't work.

It was still very delicious~

In the spirit of Woodstock, I wanted to dress up for it, but I don't think I did very good at it.

OOTD

Top: Rue 21
Skirt: Belk
Flip Flops: Old Navy

FOTD

Though my makeup did NOT stay in place all day, I thought it was cute before I left the house. :)

There was music, and swimming, and eating, and goofing around, and it was great!

Just me making an awkward face (I can't even remember what I was talking about when I took this...)

The plate which explained why everyone in the basement was laughing for five minutes straight, all over a shoe!

See, my friend David upset me, so I went to kick my flip flop off at him, it caught onto my toes, hit the ceiling, fell back down, bounced off the lid to the macaroni and cheese pot, and then fell on the ping-pong table. It put Alex, David, Devon, and I into a fit of hysterics that Emi and Wifey joined in with when they joined us.

Basically my only picture of my swim suit that I like, and one of the favorite pictures taken.

Somewhere, we all jumped on Omegle to troll around a bit. David, Wifey, Alex, Devon, and Emi.

And Emi made a smiley face on my back with the freckles!

It was a blast! Good food, good friends, good music, good fun! It's just amazing how well it goes. :)

May's Top 5

Hello again readers~

This was supposed to be posted yesterday, but I wasn't able to get around to it till today~ Sorry about that. :

May's Top 5

Ebay False Eyelashes No. 102:
This is a recent thing, but I've started to wear false lashes more often. My lashes are so short/straight/blonde that this is a good boost so I look like I HAVE lashes.

Clean & Clear Dual Action Moisturizer:
I (unfortunately) have been breaking out a bit lately with the stress of things in my life, so this is great to keep my skin moisturized, and to help combat acne as well.

E.L.F. Mineral Face Primer:
Until I find a primer I like better, this will most likely be re-occurring on my lists. It works well, doesn't smell bad, and makes my foundation apply so smoothly!

E.L.F. Small Angled Brush:
This already passed up my Maybelline Studio Gel brush, and it is just so wonderful. Makes it easy to line my lash line, and to make a perfect cat-eye as well.

Daiso Mascara Shield:
Also recent, but already so loved. I don't have to worry about getting mascara on my skin, and it helps me get the lashes closer to the inside corner! It's wonderful!

Phi Theta Kappa Conference *pic heavy*

Hello again readers~

For my chapter in Phi Theta Kappa, I was honored with an invitation to go to the conference in Northern Illinois. I took the opportunity and it was a great time! I was there from Friday, till Sunday night~ A weekend, but I was so tired by time I got home! It was short, but so many things happened!

So we drove up there, and it took about 6 hours (we stopped and got Subway on the way there plus another pit stop), and got to the hotel. We had a total of four rooms, three doubles, and two kings. The advisers got the king rooms, and Alex (the only guy in our group), got one of the doubles, the four girls shared one, and I got the last one. I had a whole room to myself! It never has happened before ...

And it was NICE too! I also enjoyed that there was high-speed internet, because I was able to check Facebook, and my blogs and general things that I do anyway.

I dressed like this on Friday. The PTK T-Shirt, plaid button down (Rue 21), boot cut jeans (Aeropostale), and Shoes (Zoo York).

Saturday I wore a similar outfit, except I wore the PTK Conference Shirt (bright green), with my blue button-down shirt (Rue 21), and similar jeans with the same shoes.

Friday we just had dinner and opening ceremony, plus trivia (we didn't feel very smart because the questions were very challenging!).

On Saturday, we had a lot of meetings and speeches in the morning to attend. It was so many different things and so much information packed into a short time!

This is a bit of news, but I REALLY like rocks. Geology is amazing and rocks are just so great and pretty (even the basic gravel!). I saw this HUGE amethyst in the display at the college there, and I had to get a photo of it. It's bigger than my dog! It's probably the size of my Squirtle pillow!

After the meetings, we had two hours to get ready for the awards Banquet and the dance. We were instructed to dress nice, so I just wore what I wore for Christmas.

The ceremony was okay, and the food was ... edible. I suppose, I really didn't like it at all (but I am picky so my opinion is strained).

I did really enjoy these little cake... things. It was like a vanilla cake with hard icing on top. It tasted like a doughnut!

The dance was sort of a flop. There was karaoke, and music, but all the lights were on so it would have been embarrassing to dance! Everyone in our group went to the movies, except me. I went back to the hotel to spend time with my friend Andy, who I haven't seen in over a year!

It was really great to see him, and we got to laugh and talk and we had McDolands and it was great! :D He didn't stay too long since he lived 45 minutes away, but it was still so refreshing~

Sunday morning, we woke up for the closing ceremony and breakfast. The ceremony took a long time, and afterwards we went to get pizza!

I thought for sure I'd hate it, because sauce on TOP of the pizza seemed like a really silly thing, and there was SO MUCH CHEESE. The sauce was great, the cheese wasn't rubbery at all, and the crust was flaky and delicious. I ate two slices and the pizza was almost an inch thick! It was so good!!

After that, we took the six hour drive back to school. I was sharing the back seat with one of the other girls, but she seat-hopped to the middle seat about halfway through the trip, so I just lounged in the backseat myself.

Got back to school, I went with my advisor back to my campus, and then I drove the rest of the way home~ So much adventure! I  was so tired too... but good things greeted me when I returned:

My room has been painted!! It used to be that dark blue color, and as much as I like blue, having it so dark was kind of depressing. So I picked a mint blue/green color. It really makes my furniture stand out and it's so bright! It's such a shocking change for me! :D
