Swatches

Hello again readers~

This is the first of two swatch posts. I have some polishes that I haven't swatched yet, and some that I just bought that I have already swatched. It's a little disorganized.

Wet n Wild 511B Nouveau Pink

I've had these polishes for a while, and I haven't had a chance to take a picture them yet.

Now I have.

(From Left to Right)

Milani Silver: Chunky silver glitter. This was with five coats. It's workable to give you a foil effect, and that's exactly what I was going for.

Spoiled  My Button Fell Off: Light pink creme. Two coats to become opaque.

Spoiled – Permission to Proceed: A sheer, neon-green that gives of a rubber finish. It honestly works better layered over a white, and takes three coats to become opaque. You also need to wrap with this polish.

Sinful Colors – Let's Talk: Violet Chrome, with very small hint of blue shimmer. Shows brush strokes. Two coats for full opacity.

E.L.F.:  A Grey-Green base with green shimmer. This polish smells AWFUL, and on the nail it looks almost black, not dark green like in the bottle. I'm a little upset by the scent, but it's bearable. Two coats.

Funky Fingers – Neon Green Crackle: One coat. I picked this up, because I love goo-green colors for nails (especially layered over black), and was hoping that this would be an opaque crackle (like China Glaze). It's not. It only shows up on lighter colors, and it tints them with an awful yellow. Not a fan, and I'm not even sure of the title since the label fell off.
(Edit: Neon Green Crackle)

Funky Fingers – Teal Scales: One coat. I love this one, a lot. It doesn't stand out over black (because it's so dark) but it looks so much better than the other one. I really wanted it because it looked a lot like OPI's Shatter the Scales, and I couldn't resist.

I did spend a bit of time looking up Funky Fingers online and reviews, and I think next time I go into that store, I'll pick up a few other colours that catch my eye, because though the neon crackle failed me, there are others that look absolutely gorgeous (like Teal Scales).

Now I mentioned that I would be working on taking better photos, so I set up a little back-drop studio area just for my blogging photos. (Still figuring out the best way to photograph clothes!)

The Wicked Halloween collection is one I sort of wanted, but didn't want it enough to shell out the money for it. When I found this on sale for about six dollars, it was worth it enough.

(Left to Right)

China Glaze Ghoulish Glow layered over Sally Hansen Night Fright: I was very excited about this polish, because I can layer it over darker colors, and still have glow-in-the-dark nails. Two coats.

Glitter Goblin: Medium orange and silver-holographic glitter. One coat.

Roguish Red: Red-Orange creme. Two coats.

Bizarre Blurple: Violet base with blue shimmer. Two coats.

OOTD and Relaxing

Hello again readers~

It's crunch time! My final day of school is December 13, which is approaching VERY quickly. I'm both excited and nervous for it ...

A bit ago, we traveled to visit my cousins. I didn't take many pictures at all (except for my photography class) because it was just a weekend to spend with family and relax, and it was just what I needed.

I did take these on the way home. The first is my version of a swatch for NYX – Chaos. Favorite red lipstick I own (so far...)

And this just because of cotton candy slurpees.

Apologies that the second photo is so blurry... all of the photos were blurry except when I was wearing the jacket. Oh well, next time they'll be better.

Jacket - Rue 21
Top - Rue 21
Belt - Claire's
Jeans - Charlotte Russe
Boots - Thrifted

Vacation

Hello again readers~

This took a lot longer than expected to post, because of camera and picture transfer issues, but now here it is! Though it isn't something incredibly special.

We went to Branson on a Saturday a few weeks ago, and it was a weekend full of art! There were paintings, drawings, and jewelry. It was a little overwhelming seeing such pieces and talent all in one place, but it was great!

We stopped at Silver Dollar City first, to meet my grandparents and have fun, and we got to see so much, from demonstrations, and we ate delicious snacks and joked around. It was pleasant.

Here's Sarah riding a rocking horse in the barn! Doesn't she look cute?

~*-HAUL-*~

At Rue, I picked up this tank (isn't it just WILD?), and I have already fallen in love with it. It actually makes me appear tan, and I love the textured design with the skulls on it. I also picked up this pack of thin belts, because I really wanted just the black, so now I'll have to find a use for the yellow one.

And this bag! I can't wait until the semester of Uni is over so I can use it! It's not a school-friendly bag for me. I was highly tempted to get the green one as well, but I'll get more use out of this one. (It will be smeared with dirt, and art mediums in no time!)

My mum picked this out for me actually, because she knew I'd like it. Unfortunately, last Saturday I took a fall down the steps, and I broke the skull off the chain. I fixed it, but it was very embarrassing and I felt horrid that I broke it in such a silly way. :( It's a super easy way to fancy up an outfit, and you can change out scarves for it!

Bath and Body Works:

Since the Halloween things were on clearance, mum let me stock up on 'Vampire Blood'. Honestly, the 'Blood' scents, are my favourite anti bacterial scents they have! I also got Winter Cranberry, Black Pearl (that has glitter in it), Vanilla Cupcake, Fresh Market Apple and Fresh Lemon Antibacterial Hand Lotions, and Forever Red mini-bottle.

Hello again readers~

Four coats of by Permission to Proceed by Spoiled, and one coat of Black Mesh by China Glaze.

I know the photos look a bit different from how I usually do them, but I was messing with my camera settings for this round. It was really interesting how many effects I could achieve, by just turning a small dial. :)

HALLOWEEN

Hello again readers~

It was that time again, one of my favourite times of the year: Halloween! I love it so much, because you can be creepy, weird, and scary or whatever you choose, and it's accepted for a day~

I was lame, and picked to be a zombie again. Why mess with a good thing? Though this year was different:

The nails on this hand were my favourite...

... but this hand was for grossing my teachers and peers out, because the nail was able to be moved around without falling off:

The materials I used?: False nails, cotton, food colouring, eyeshadow, toilet paper, Elmer's glue, black lip gloss, and clear lip gloss. Looks gross, doesn't it?

Angelica wanted a picture with both of our hands, so of course we did.

And a picture of the both of us! She was so cute, and she was the practice model for some of the face painters there. :)

Hello again readers~

Got swept up in art projects again. I have a five-piece grid due in the morning, and a painting due tomorrow afternoon. Plus a new homework assignment next week, with practice due Wednesday, papers, slide shows ... it's a little overwhelming, but I'm pushing through it!

So here's a couple of looks (that aren't just jeans and a t-shirt!) from the past couple of weeks.

August's and September's Top 5

Hello again readers~

I definitely need to start updating once a week. I feel bad that I don't. :(

August's and September's Top 5

E.L.F. High Definition Powder:
I use this as a setting powder, and it's always makes my skin look amazing.

Clean & Clear Dual Action Moisturizer:
I have needed this more than ever...Because of school (and change of eating habits) I have broken out with zits far more often....This is great because it moisturizes my face,a and helps with oil and acne.

Wet n Wild I Heart Matte Palette:
I've picked this up again as an almost daily use product. I  use the colour choices on the right, depending on what I want for the day. Just a highlight and a solid colour, or adding a bit of definition with the brown, or going all-out and smoky with all four! There's so many different choices, from casual to eye-catching, and I really enjoy it.

E.L.F.  2-in-1 Mascara Duo:
Just simple black-lashes. Just a little bit of colour to make my eyes stand-out more, but without volume or length.

E.L.F. Wet Gloss Lash and Brow Clear Mascara:
I use this for my eyebrows to keep them looking nice, and to seal the eyebrow pencil so it doesn't smear. Works like a charm. :)

NOTD

Hello again readers~

Here are my NOTD's from the past few weeks. :)

Finger Paints in Stunning Stilettos with one coat of Shattered by Icing.

I really liked this, though It was odd working with Shattered, and I bent a few of the pieces. It took three top coats to smooth it out, but I still picked at the pieces that poked out, which is why there's a couple of chips in the polish. I'll be doing this again, but maybe not over Stunning Stilettos.

China Glaze in Westside Warrior, with Finger Paints in Flecked, and Motley layered on top. I wasn't so sure that this combination would look good, but I'm glad I did it. Not only did it look great, but Ani and I discovered that in darker lighting, it really looked amazing:

Finally, I tried something new this week. One of my nails chipped off (thumb), and when I went to smooth it out, it ended up looking like a claw on one side. So I just trimmed all of my nails to claws, and applied Wet N Wild in Morbid to them. I think it's a wonderful look, though it hurts a little bit when I make a fist, since they are sharpened points.
