NOTD

Hello again readers~

Just a super quick post for you today.

NOTD:

I used two coats of Orly - Gumdrop, and one coat of NYX - Gilded Glitter

I was excited to try Gilded Glitter, since the swatches I saw of it online were so gorgeous, and I was slightly disappointed. It's not the glitter payoff (Which is nice, not too little, and not too much!) but the glitter has a yellow-tint to its base, that shows up on lighter colours like Gumdrop.

It made some gross streaks to the manicure, and it just made the anticipation fizzle. It looks much better over darker colours, but I'll be keeping it away from lighter colours.

From afar, you can't notice it so I wasn't too concerned, but knowing it wasn't as well as I hoped bummed me out a bit.

OOTD, FOTD, and a present!

Hello again readers~

Whew! Finally Friday! It's been a long week, but it's down and over with, and I'm ready for the weekend.

FOTD:

I actually went ahead and did a bunch more to my makeup routine, instead of the 'natural' look I've been doing. Dark, black lids, strong line, coral cheeks, and red lip. Really put my look to the next level.

OOTD:

Just wanted a reason to wear my heels, and went all-out.

Jacket: Rue 21
Dress: Rue 21
Necklace: Forever 21
Tights: VF Outlet
Heels: Payless

Thanks for reading, and have a great weekend~

Nivea Lip Butter

Hello again readers~

Just a couple of things to show you today! I recently bought a couple of the Nivea Lip Butters, in Vanilla & Macadamia Kiss, and Caramel Cream Kiss.

Now they come in little tins, which I'm not the biggest fan of. The tins feel very weak and flimsy, and don't really hold together that well. I keep this by my bed so it's not a huge problem, but at the same time I don't think I'd take it with me in my bag.

It's a little thick, and needs a finger/brush to apply to the lips. As for the taste, it's faint, and not terrible. It doesn't taste delicious, but it's no where near awful.

They don't last too terribly long, only about an hour, maybe an hour and a half. On top of that, they leave a white cast to my lips, making them look 'frosted', which I'm not wild about.

I love, love, LOVE this one. It smells good, and really keeps my lips moisturized. I've been using it every day I've had it!

I was trying to decide between Caramel Cream Kiss, and Raspberry Rose Kiss, and I picked this one. I basically instantly regretted it, since I'm not a fan of caramels. Good thing my sister likes caramel, so I let her have it.

For me, these work really well. I apply it throughout the day, and it helps lock in moisture. So I'm very glad for that since I bite them far too often...

They're about 4 dollars each, so go and snatch one or two up. They leave your lips feeling velvety smooth. They can be found at drugstores like CVS, and Walgreens.

Got2B Oil-Licious Shampoo - Review

Hello again readers~

I have Got2B's Oil-licious Shampoo for you today!

I saw it at Walgreens, and thought to dry it. The air around here has been really dry, and my hair has been going through Hell! I picked it up when it was on sale for about five dollars, hoping that it'd work.

What can I say... It smells nice, like all Got2B products do, and not overwhelming which is good. I've only used this for the past two weeks, and I have to say, I really do like it.

It's not a product that's a miracle in a bottle, and it isn't instant results. It took a few washes to really get the effect, but it does help my hair hold moisture, makes my hair a little extra soft, and just makes my hair feel good again.

It also keeps it tamed, so it looks healthier as well.

It's a little more than my usual shampoo costs, but I can definitely see myself buying this again.

You can find it for 7 dollars at Walgreens.

OOTD and FOTD

Hello again readers~

I slacked off, and didn't think to make this post until today... These were taken on Wednesday, so I'm not behind!

OOTD:

Top: Rue 21
Jeans: Rue 21
Shoes: Zoo York

I regretted this decision once I got to school. Though it's spring, it's still so cold outside, and when I got to campus it was even colder because of the wind! Luckily my new jacket is very warm, but it was still uncomfortable... I should wear this again once it gets warmer.

FOTD:

Very plain. Just some foundation, eyebrow gel, eyeliner and a bit of mascara. Keeping it simple lately since it's very quick and efficient. I think I'll start spicing it up again since I'm growing tired of this look.

Changes Ahead

Hello again readers~

I'm in a bit of a pickle right now. I'm changing how my blog looks (it was so dark before, and though I loved it, lighter themes work better), and working out exactly what goes where. I'll still be updating, but don't be alarmed when things start looking a bit different in the next few days. :)

Thanks for reading~

P.S. I think I'm going to make a new header as well... I miss Akira dearly, but I feel as though I need to move on.

Hard Candy - Crush on Lava

Hello again readers~

I was going to hold off on this, but.... Today I have Hard Candy - Crush on Lava for you! When Hard Candy revamped their polishes, I was really bummed out... You see, Orly had Space Cadet, and Hard Candy had Beetle. I was cocky and though 'Oh, Beetle will be around forever, you can put off buying it', and I was sorely mistaken. I thought I'd have to search again for Space Cadet, but luckily this polish is super similar, so I don't have to!

Crush on Lava is a copper red chrome polish that shifts to yellow and very faintly green. My first thought when I put it on, was 'oh no, I've made a mistake!', but when I saw the shift I instantly warmed up to it.

Good news, it's similar to Beetle. Bad news, I found in my search that it doesn't shift nearly as well as Beetle does. I'm fine with it however, though part of me is still shaking my fists of what could have been...

Each bottle retails for four dollars and can be purchased at Walmart.

Sinful Colors - Truth or Dare

Hello again readers~

Today I have Sinful Colors - Truth or Dare from the Kiss and Tell Collection. It's a berry pink cream that was tricky to photograph, and always gives you a pleasant surprise in different lighting. It's opaque in two coats.I love the colour of this polish, but I also had a bit of trouble with staining.

Two dollars at Walgreens and Walmart.

Sinful Colors - Calypso

Hello again readers~

Today I have Sinful Colors - Calypso. It's a darkened teal cream that's dark enough, but not dark enough that it's black.

I didn't have any problems with the application. Two coats for full opacity, and it looks great.

Hard Candy - Black Tie Optional

Hello again readers~

I'm spoiling this, but I just couldn't wait! I'm also going to show you Hard Candy - Black Tie Optional. Hard Candy recently revamped their line, and came out with over 40 new nail polishes! Five collections, with nine colours in each. I was overwhelmed, but I talked myself down to getting only three of them. This one was my favourite pick.

Black Tie Optional is a polish with black and white hex, circle, and bar glitters all packed into a bottle. I knew I had to have it, since it's so similar to Connect the Dots by Lynnderella, which my sister owns and I don't. Now I don't have to be so jealous! I was blown away. I didn't have to 'fish' for any of the larger glitters, which is what I was expecting.

The only issue I had with this, is that you need two-or three layers of top coat, since the bar and larger glitter pieces stick up. I only have one on the photos below, and I wish I had two.

Hard Candy polishes can be purchased at Walmart.

Sinful Colors - Green Ocean

Hello again readers~

Today I have a little treat, Sinful Color's Green Ocean! I've been lusting after this polish for a while, but luckily it comes out every year around St. Patrick's Day!

The polish is FANTASTIC. At first I thought it was a lot like Finger Paints - Motley, but it's completely different. It has blue and green square, circle, and hex glitter along with shreds of glitter too, and it shifts slightly to yellow. I applied it over Sinful Colors - Calypso.

Each of the bottles is 2 dollars at Walgreens, and sometimes you can find them at Walmart too. If you miss out this year, keep your eyes peeled for next year.

Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipstick In Cherry Frost and Black Orchid

Hello again readers~

Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipstick - Cherry Frost and Black Orchid:

I like Black Orchid a lot, it's a lot like Cherry Bomb, but I wasn't that wowed with Cherry Frost. For one dollar though, the pigmentation is great and they last a decent amount of time.

February's Top 5

Hello again readers~
February's Top 5:

1. Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation - I've been using this foundation so much, way more than the liquid foundation. It's quick and easy for me to apply since I wear it when I go out of the house, and makes my routine just fly by. I also like how well it looks on my skin, and I can build up on the red zones on my face without it looking cake-y.

2. Neutrogena Makeup Remover Wipes - I had to buy a pack of these, after using one of my sister's. I used to use makeup removing wipes from the Dollar Store, but these work SO much better. It's more expensive, but just 1/4 of a sheet removes ALL of my makeup with ease, and it makes my skin less irritated since I don't have to rub!

3. Hard Candy Flat to Fab Mascara - My favourite mascara so far. Two quick coats, and instant curl. Can't help but to love it.

4. E.L.F. Zit Zapper - I take this product for granted so often, and I need to give it more respect. Sometimes I get overly-stressed, or stop drinking water like I should and I get massive break outs. With the recent massive attack on my face from the Rimmel primer, this was needed. I went a few weeks without it, and regretted it since there were zits on my cheeks that weren't going away no matter what I did. Three days with this puppy, and they were gone.

5. Essence Eyebrow Pencil in Blonde - I jump between this pencil, and Wet n Wild eyeliner in taupe when I fill in my eyebrows. This month I have reached for this more, so it joins the rest for the favourites.

Wet n Wild - Pinkerbell

Hello again readers~

This is incredibly bright! I'm not really a lover of light lipsticks, since I'm so pale and they usual look horrid on me, but I think I'm liking this one. It still doesn't compliment me, but it's so different from the darker colours I own.

To be honest, I bought this one because I read it's a dupe of MAC's Nicki lipstick, and at 2 dollars, why not?
