Mindless Self Indulgence Concert

Hello again readers~

I went to the Mindless Self Indulgence concert with Amanda and Zelda last Tuesday. It was so epic! Before the concert, Zelda and Amanda came to chill at my house a little bit so we could get everything prepared and everything in order as well.

My outfit for the concert~

Amanda holding my shirt up like a little apron!

Amanda was posed like this, because my sister was asking her a questions. It was hilarious.

We waited in line, got checked, and Amanda and I went to give our ID’s so we can get our tickets wince we were on the guest list, and we ended up getting 4, so we had two extra, and gave them away to a couple of people in exchange for them doing a little dance move.

We bought our merch right away, and I bought the tour t-shirt. Ventana opened up, and they were AWESOME. The lead singer crowd surfed, and Amanda got a hand full of his crotch, and I was able to help because I wasn’t htat short! Moshed a little bit, and Amanda bee-lined for the front, then pulled me through about 8 rows of people to stand by her, and we were there for Hydro Hero, which was really good too.
Then they announced MSI, and everyone rushed the stage, and I managed to get to second row, and I was squished like no other, then was shoved into the first row right on the barrier (which in my opinion, was the best place to be since I was the most comfortable there). Had some chick grinding on my ass the whole time with her arms on either side of my head, got moved into the second row again after Lyn-z crowd surfed, and got chummy with the girl who stood in front of me. She had my arms on either side of her, so I was able to push back against the wave of people, hold on to my spot, and keep her from being squished as well.
I was covered in sweat that wasn’t even mine, my hair was ruined, and I looked HIDEOUS, but it was SO MUCH FUN. They played:
They even played I'm on Crack and the Team Rocket motto!!

You can see me in the front row!

And the pink sign he eats? Amanda made it!!
Afterwards, we met Lyn-Z, and Steve, and Kitty, but not Jimmy since some douche bags got in a fight and one hit Jimmy, so he got mad and stormed off. :( I’m in so much fucking pain, and I feel like I got hit by a bus, but it was SO WORTH IT.

The only photo of Jimmy we got

Random tid-bits of awesome:
  • My hair was matted in one place because Jimmy blew snot rockets and the bulk of it landed in my hair.
  • I got to hold Lyn-Z’s hand when she was getting up to stand above the crowd.
  • I got to touch her amazing boots too when she was crowd surfing and she dropped down a bit. Helped her get back over the barricade.
It was so amazing~

E.L.F. Studio Mineral Face Primer Review

Hello again readers~

I am here to bring you a review about the E.L.F. Studio Mineral Face Primer!

The primer comes in a tube with a pump. At first, I couldn't get any product out at all! My pump wasn't broken, but the product wasn't settled to the bottom of the tube yet. It took a while, but after smacking the side a few times, I successfully was able to get the product out properly.

E.L.F. says:

Transform your face into a flawless and smooth canvas with the Mineral Infused Face Primer. Developed to combat against excess oil, flaky dryness, enlarged pores and fine lines. This clear multipurpose skin primer will prepare your skin so makeup goes on evenly for a long lasting satin finish.

Directions:

Apply to clear skin prior to makeup application. Use a small amount and blend evenly all over the face for a smooth and flawless base.

A single pump is plenty to prime the entire face, even a bit more than necessary sometimes. It conditions your skin too, and helps makeup glide on so easily.

It blends in clear, and smooth, and even helps minimize the look of creases and pores!

Pros:
Smooth on applying itself to your face and applying foundation and concealer on the face.
- Easy to get (places that sell E.L.F. products)
- Cheap at 6 dollars.
- Pump gives just the right amount of product.
- Helps with oil control (I used to need about 5 sheets of blotting paper a day, now I only need 2 MAYBE 3!
- Kept my foundation on through a concert, even while sweating! (Pictures to come)

Cons:
Though it's cheap, it's a small amount of product and could be more.
- Worried that farther down the line, the pump will become a liability.

Overall: 4/5
This product is wonderful! I would have given it a higher rating, but the amount of product brought it down a bit. I would recommend this to those who are newer to primers, or sometimes use too much or too little primer.

Hard Candy Lash Ink Review

Hello again readers~

Alright, I come to you bearing a review. To be honest, I was going to do this a few weeks ago, but I became really lazy to get the swatches and a proper review, but on to the review!

The mascara is packaged in a cardboard tube, sealed with plastic disks.

The mascara itself is just a cylinder tube, that sort of looks... how do I put it, edgy? Sort of fashionable with it being all black, and with the splash of silver and pink colors of the designs.

The brush looks like this. It doesn't look like there's product on there, but there is quite a bit. The formula isn't creamy, it's more of a liquid. Think of it like a liquid liner consistency.

CLAIM:

Mascara that won’t quit until you do. Flatter your flutter for 4 days straight! Hard Candy four day lash stain defies the elements. Paint Lash Ink on and don’t reapply for up to 4 days. Shower, go in the pool, cry, rub your eyes, or get rained on – your lashes will stay flawless no matter the circumstances! Perfect for a weekend away or partying all night long.

Day 1:

Freshly applied mascara. Doesn't add volume or length, just color. The mascara doesn't have a curl, though you can curl them with an eyelash curler after the mascara has dried to get the curled look. Doesn't really do much for me at this point.

Day 3:

I'm actually really impressed! I cried my eyes out for hours, rubbed my eyes harshly, stood in the rain for hours, sweated, took showers, washed my face, removed my other makeup: AND IT'S STILL ON. It gives my lashes the color that I love to have, and I don't have to worry about it wearing down, or off. It actually was a lot better than I thought it would be.

As far as waterproof/stain goes: 5/5. It stayed put for a solid 3 days, wore down after 4, and even lasted though a lot of abuse.

Pros:
It lasts for a solid 3 days.
- It is completely waterproof.
- It lasts through being rubbed.
- Doesn't flake off.
- Once it's on, it's on.
- Cheap at $6.

Cons
It doesn't add length.
- It doesn't add volume.
- If you get it on your skin and you don't get it off immediately, it'll be there for a long while.
- The formula is really runny, and it's easy to mess up on application if you're not careful.
- Will do nothing if you have darker lashes.

Overall: 4/5
It's affordable, and works like it should. Works through water and is really a tough mascara. The only problem I have, is that it doesn't add volume or length to your lashes, but for someone like me with pale blonde lashes it works great!

Wet n Wild Liquid Eyeliner - Indigo Blue Swatches

Hello again readers~

The other day I saw this sitting on the shelves at the drug store, and picked it up fast. I absolutely love the Wet n Wild Liquid Eyeliner in Teal, and was wondering how the color was for this.

Wet n Wild Liquid Eyeliner in Indigo Blue. The packaging is no different than the other liquid liners, it just has the 'new shade' sticker placed on it. It's fairly cheap at 2.99 USD and easily accessible. The applicator itself is a brush tip, so it may be a bit hard to control if you're not used to it.

The bottle itself, looks like it would be a very vibrant and pigmented blue.

It's actually a dusty metallic blue color, instead. It holds up well against makeup remover too, and stays in place all day.

I compared it with NYX Studio Liquid Eyeliner in Electric Blue just to see how it would match up.

NYX on left, Wet n Wild on right. As you can see, the NYX is more pigmented and brighter, while the Wet n Wild is more muted. If you want a nice POP of blue, without being too over the top, go with Wet n Wild.

Swatches for Sinful Colors and Spoiled

Hello again readers~

While cleaning my room, I managed to find two polishes that I forgot to swatch, and while out yesterday, I picked up four new nail polishes from CVS! So today I finally got around to swatching them for you. The swatches are at the very end of the post.

Sinful Colors – Cinderella

I kept seeing this polish popping up around the internet, and went around and picked one up for me. The polish is a pale light blue, with pink shimmer that is just absolutely fantastic. It is runny, and sheer so in order to get the color you need to build up with about 3 or 4 coats, but the payoff is wonderful.

And I tried to swatch it on my fingers since it looks different then on the wheel, but I just wasn't able to capture the real beauty of it. For really amazing swatches of not only this, but of other nail colors, go HERE. The PolishAholic is just AMAZING for finding swatches of amazing shades, and she updates fairly regularly.

Sinful Colors – Neptune

It is one of the newer shades, and I picked it up because it was a color I didn't have and the shimmer is just beautiful. It's a dusty blue with green and gold shimmer that just looks amazing, and really quite unique as well.

Spoiled by Wet n Wild

When I would go to CVS I would see them setting up the new display of 'Spoiled' polishes, and they were so similar to Sinful Colors except more readily available (I wouldn't have to go a half hour to visit Target!). While there browsing, I picked up four colors that really caught my eye, and I was shocked at how well they applied. Even more shocked, that they were made by Wet n Wild as well!

(Right to Left: The Parking Meteor Expired, Black Mamba, Pick Your Poison, and Shuffle the Deck)

The Parking Meteor Expired: This was my favorite pick out of the four. It looks absolutely FANTASTIC on. It's a dark navy blue/black base, with blue and green micro shimmer that picks up light very well. It is a little thick, but it applied evenly in just one coat!

Black Mamba: It's a gunmetal black/grey polish with gold and silver shimmer. It's also thick, but applied in one coat.

Pick Your Poison: A dark red shimmer polish. The formula was great, and needed just 2 coats for an even application.

Shuffle the Deck: A clear base polish with large silver and red hexigonal glitter, and a smaller silver/grey hex glitter that appears black. It really suits it's name, and though you can spend hours layering it for full application, it's designed to layer over another polish.

Swatches

Cinderella, Neptune, Shuffle the Deck, Pick Your Poison, Black Mamba, and The Parking Meteor Expired.

February's Top 5

Hello again readers~

February's Top 5:
Got2B Smooth Operator:
It controls frizz, protects against UV rays and heat styling, and to top it all off, it smells AMAZING.

Runway 21 Perfume:
I really like this scent. Usually I would use 'Promise Me' by Aeropostale, but that got old after a while, so I wanted to switch it up. It's a sweet smell, without being overbearingly sweet.

Warpaint Beauty Nail polish in Purple Haze:
A polish that really grew on me. At first, I didn't like it as much as I thought I did, then halfway through the week of wearing it, I noticed that it looks like a metallic violet, and fell in love with it!

Elf Eyelid Primer:
Still one of my favorite products, and helps keep my eyeshadow looking good all day.

Hair Velcro Bow:
For when I do my makeup in the morning. It pulls the hair away from my face without making crimps in my hair like pins do.
