Covergirl Lip Perfection - Embrace

Hello again readers~

I have a lipstick for you, and well, strap yourselves in. This is going to be an adventure.

Another item I snagged durring the CVS clearance sale was this lipstick: Covergirl Lip Perfection in Embrace.

It was usually about 8 dollars, but I bought it for four.

I was really entranced by the dark violet colour of the 'swatch' on the tube.

When I went to photograph it, it always leaned too warm! It's actually much darker, like:

From Google Image Search

And since it retails for 8 dollars, I thought I'd get a great lipstick.

Wrong.

This is after multiple swipes. It goes on so sheer, and it has a huge issue with randomly depositing chunks of product here or there, even if lips are fully moisturized. It's incredibly frustrating.

It's however, really creamy so it has that going for it, but nothing will redeem the smell of this. It reeks of chemicals, that try too hard to smell like cake and perfume. It's not pleasant, and it just makes me feel squeemish

Also, the product felt drying on my lips! You would think with something so creamy, it'd be more moisturizing. It wasn't.

There are only two things I love about this: the packaging, and the stain.

The packaging is sleek, a purple-toned silver. It looks really fantastic, and a flash of shine to really catch your eye. Easy to find in your purse.

The stain of this, is the only  way I'll get through the tube. The lipstick is disgusting, and I hate it, but the stain is a bright fuchsia pink. The stain wears off oddly, but it lasts most of the day, so I wouldn't mind applying this just to wipe it off for the stain.

Was it worth 8 dollars? I don't think so, but that's my opinion.

Covergirl Clean Liquid Foundation

Hello again readers~

I bring to you another liquid foundation review, this one is for Covergirl Clean Liquid Foundation. Formula: Oil Control in 505 Ivory.

The back of the foundation says this:

- Designed for oily complexions to help whisk away shine
- Matte coverage that feels and looks fresh
- Dermatologicaly tested; oil and fragrance-free

It says 'fragrance-free', though it still has a scent with the ingredients, though it does dramatically decrease over time. The fragrance is not because it was added, it's just a noticeable scent!

I don't much like tapping it against my hand, so to get product out I use a q-tip!

Swatch:

Blended in:

Coverage is about medium, more so if you layer it, but I don't like putting too much on my skin.

Pros:
Matches my face decently well
- Covers easily
- Dries matte
- Easy to get (any drug store that sells Cover Girl)
- Inexpensive at around 6 dollars
- Comes in a broad line of shades

Cons:
- I'm not a huge fan of the packaging, makes it hard to get the last bit of product out
- It made me break out more than usual
- Oxidizes darker than my skin tone

Overall: 3/5
It's not the worst foundation I've ever tried, but it's not the best either. It helps keep my skin feel clean, look even, and it's close to my skin tone that when I blend it out you can't really tell, but it does get darker over time. I do like how the oil-control helps with my t-zone, since it gets super oily, super quick, and I'm always on the look for a helping-hand with that. Even though it lessens the appearance of oily skin, I still got oily, and I also got extra pimples around my forehead and nose.

Incolor Fabuliner, CoverGirl Line Exact, and E.L.F. Waterproof Eyeliner Pen Review

Hello again readers!

This is the order on which I swatched them on my hand (one swatch with just the tip, and one with the side so for a total of 8 lines): E.L.F Waterproof Eyeliner Pen in Black, Incolor FabuLiner in Black, Incolor FabuLiner in Brown, and Cover Girl Line Exact in Black.

This was what they looked like this morning. It seems that the CoverGirl has the deepest color for black. Swiped the color on the side swatches in two coats.

This is what they looked like after 8 hours. Of course, my hand isn't very oily, so if you have really oily skin it might look a bit different.

And this is what happened with two hard swipes of the makeup remover. E.L.F. Waterproof Eyeliner Pen, wins in staying power for black, and the Incolor FabuLiner in Brown is still pretty rich in color! I was really impressed!

E.L.F. Waterproof Eyeliner Pen:
Staying Power: 5/5 Still really nice dark color after all that abuse!
Color: 4/5 Dark (though it could take more than one stroke to get it even all over)
Price: 5/5! It's just a dollar!
Would buy again?: Yes, I don't care if it dries up quickly, the price is good, and so is the formula! It's worth the dollar!

Incolor FabuLiner in Black Eyeliner Pen
Staying Power: 4/5. It stayed well, but did fade a bit.
Color: 3/5. A little watery, will need two strokes to get a bold color.
Price: 5/5 Just two dollars!
Would buy again?: I think I'll buy E.L.F. instead.

Incolor FabuLiner in Brown Eyeliner Pen
Staying Power: 5/5 Rich color, even after the long hours and the makeup remover. Doesn't budge too easily.
Color: 5/5 I love the color! Not a brown-black, but not a super light brown either.
Price: 5/5 Just two dollars!
Would buy again?: YES!

CoverGirl Line Exact Eyeliner Pen
Staying Power: 2/5 Doesn't really stay that well (though it likes to disagree with my photos, I've used this many times before, and know differently).
Color: 1/5 Definitely needs more than one stroke to get it dark.
Price: 1/5 It was about 7 dollars, for this formula that's not really that good.
Would buy again?: No. Too expensive compared to the others I prefer, and the formula is lacking compared to the others as well.

I hope you enjoyed!
